Dr. Matthew Benijah Judson House, DO

To the people that talk about not putting their lives in the hands of Dr. Matthew House. I would like to say first of all, you NEVER put your life in ANYONES hands. I believe in God and He is the ONLY one I put my life in. You can be upset, but being a nurse I can tell you that it is not because the Doctor does not care. It is because you are not the only person in dire need of a doctors help. Doctors treat MANY patients and the severity of other patients psychiatric needs can be EXTREME. You may think your situation is bad, but if you were to actually see how really bad some peoples situations were, you would be thankful. Also it is unfair to blame a Doctor for something a staff member may have done or said. These are people and people are not perfect. To blame the entire staff for what one staff member said or did is completely unfair. To blame the doctor for what a staff member did or said is completely unfair as well. People do have bad days and as the Bible says for those of you… that believe in it. "He who without sin cast the first stone" Whether you believe in the Bible or not the quote "He who without sin cast the first stone" simply means if you have never done anything wrong in your life then you would be in a place of entitled judgement, but if you have ever done anything wrong then you are not entitled to judge. God is the judge and vindicator of wrongs and vengeance belongs to HIM. Pray about what has happened. Now if you are an Athiest then you assume control of your own destiny and you may put yourself in judgement of any given situation. Good luck with that!! My overall point and I am not trying to preach at anyone. I cannot separate my life from my faith so my opinion is based on that basic principal. My point is look outside of yourself and realize there are others that suffer much more pain and suffering then you do. Realize you are not the only one who is in pain and then you can handle things a lot better and see things more rationally. Your level of peace is in direct proportion to your expectations. The higher your expectation, the lower level of peace, the lower the expectation, the higher level of peace. I am a future patient of Dr. House but I just wanted to express my reaction to some of the reviews. Sincerely Danielle Webster

so this is my story..I have been a patient of Dr. Matthew house for eight years. I have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and have been taking medication for about 7 years. I recently decided I was ready to come off of it..best decision I ever made. I visited with my doctor for about 5min and told him my decision, I left and that was that (no discussion about any withdraw symptoms). About a week after I started having severe withdraw symptoms ( I only know they are withdraw symptoms from looking it up online) I desperately tried to get a hold of my doctor. I called and asked to speak to my doctor or to leave a message and was told I could not and would need to come in to discuss withdraw symptoms ( the next apt was a week away). I told them I was not okay and needed at least a phone call because I was at a VERY low point...I was in tears on the phone. I eventually hung up, as I was getting nowhere....I received no call back...a day later I decided to call again..I left a message… stating I needed to speak to the doctor I received a call back from the receptionist about my refill request?? I have no idea how they got that from my message, regardless I attempted to call back yet AGAIN...as I could get a hold of no one (during business hours) I decided to call the emergency number...only to find it is disconnected....I left one more message and have yet to hear back...So that is my story...luckily I have been able to find information about dealing with symptoms and am doing much better....I am writing this not because I am just mad but because I am EXTREMLY concerned for ANY patients under this doctors care...Had I reached a point where I was having suicidal thoughts or other negative thoughts I would not get any care from them and I am thankful that that did not happen...I am afraid to think of what would happen if it did.....I am very afraid that someone is going to get hurt due to the treatment or lack of....and what scares me the most is that this man treats children....that scares me very much...I highly recommend NO ONE put their mental health or the mental health of their child in this mans care...

Dr. House, Matthew,Over all rating is POOR.Dr. Matthew House staff represent his company: By which the Courtesy and porfessionalism of the officel staff lacks. First off, I will state, when a patient would like to speak with Dr. House himself, privately, the staff feels and takes the matter in their own hands and monitor whoms speak with the Doctor. (As a patient, or patients parents, if the patient is a minor, shall by all means necessary speak with the Doctor) not allow you to bypass them, before speaking privately to Dr. House (I am appalled by this mannerism the staff displayed) The Neuropsychologist, Dr. Russell, whom we seen prior for my daughter. Called our situation "Like a Jerry Springer Show" I was shocked that, that statement would come from a professional licensed mental health physician. As the patient's mother, I was livid, and I told the Physician, that is is not a game, and this is my daughter's life, our families life. (Not some game show trying to get… ratings.!!) Dr. House would not reply back to me. (Not the first time)His office staff, called me a liar infront of the my daughter, whom is a minor, also 2 other patients in the lobby.Also charging me for services not rendered. The staff, futhermore, making appts for me without my confirmation, then charging more service fees on top of the orginal cost.Dr. House, I would think hard and clear whom you have working under your name. Because your staff is ruining your repuation. Word of mouth, what is also important with your business, this service is very unsatisfactory, and I will make sure everyone is aware of how you handle your business and ignoring your patients needs is not good as well, should be your first priority.Appointments are made by his staff, without confirmation from the client. Then charged fees for services not rendered.

Very professional, staff very helpful and friendly. Dr. House is great, very caring.

Awesome doctor. Best there is in Fresno. Only downside is he's only doing 15 minute medicine appointments now. That can be frustrating if you need more time.

Dr Matt is wonderful, very caring, spends time with you, answers your emails, makes you feel things will get better.

Dr. M. House has been the best psychiatrist I've had. A+ And he also sees teens which we really need in Fresno. He listens. He takes care that each client is an individual with individual needs. He knows people don't "fit" into neat little research "boxes." Very knowledgeable. Caring. I HIGHLY recommend this doctor!
