Dr. Matthew Aaron Kaplan, DO

I am not a liar - This "doctor's" behavior was uncalled for! I’ve never been treated like this from ANY “doctor” in my life. I visited the clinic 3 times. The first 2 times sounded like a vet clinic because the “doctor” had his dog there barking nonstop. This did honestly make me feel like I was in a back-alley clinic, but my orthopedic doctor referred me to him for relief until I can get surgery. My first visit, I found that I couldn’t get the normal pain procedures done for my back pain due to a heart condition I was recently diagnosed with so he gave me pain meds instead. The second meeting I shared with him that the strength wasn’t working well and occasionally I’d take 1.5 pills instead of 1 when the pain was unbearable. He rudely told me he should drop me as a patient immediately because I didn’t realize it was against the rules. I accidentally missed my next appt and called the office 3-4 times for a new appointment. I left voice messages and when I finally reached someone… they told me they had voicemail issues. I set the next available appointment. When I got to my last appointment the “doctor” asked what happened. Then he told me I was lying because no one in his office told me there were phone issues and told me that he didn't believe me. He then kicked me out. I was shaking and in tears. He treated me terribly. I am not a liar and did not under any circumstance deserve to be treated that way by someone calling themselves a "medical professional". This man has no compassion at all. Zero stars is more appropriate.

People beware please be warned that kaplan will stab you in the back he will not accept responsibility if he screws up he just cares about ratings on vitals he is a snake he does not have your best interest in mind he lies rushes through appts he dont care i overheard him saying he believes all people want is pain medicine and no we all dont we want pain gone

Please people stay away from this person he will lie to you push you into procedures just because he has dr in front of his name dont make him a dr he has no compassion and i will be glad when hes no longer around but this will follow him wait until he takes out his anger on you because something happened Patient beware cant say you were not warned

I met dr Kaplan through a colleague at another hospital. He listens and tries to help with chronic pain. It’s called chronic because it’s ... well chronic. He will work with you to find the best way out Of the pain maze

He is the worst Dr I have ever seen. I am having my stim removed due to him placing in a wrong spot. Kept telling me everything is fine, He will tell you one thing one week then do a complete 180 the very next week, exp. "had to lift the muscle" to "I never touched the muscle" in one week. This guy should not be allowed to procedures

worst Dr I have ever seen he just lies to cover up his mistakes. exp I had to lift the muscle then very next week I didn't even touch that muscle just one example many more. If you care about the value of your health care do not see him.

He didn't even read my chart or discus my MRI. He prescribed me the same medication my reumatologist gives me. If he would have looked at my chart he would have known that. His only concern was how I was going to pay for treatment since I had to stop working due to the pain I was in and had lost my insurance. I had previously had 2 treatments that had billed my insurance around 30k. Sadly to say they didn't work. This Man only cares about the Money not the patient!

Dr Kaplan is the most competent and compassionate Dr. I have ever had. As someone who suffers from a complicated health history I have many good Drs however, Dr Kaplan is so invested in the well being of his patients that if you're lucky enough to have him as your Dr. you will find hope in coping with Chronic pain. I can't speak highly enough about his practice including his amazing staff. They are always friendly, knowledgeable and handle your appt. etc. in a very timely manner. They too are invested in each patient!

I was told I needed "Pain Management". That's scary if you don't understand what it is. I met Dr. Kaplan and his staff and was relieved but not convinced. The girls (and one gentleman) were helpful and polite with my questions. My first visit with Dr. Kaplan was surprisingly good. He listened to my issue and explained why I was there. I admit I felt the appointment could have been longer but Dr. Kaplan assured me working on one problem at a time was the best plan, I didn't realize how comfortable I felt with him until late he said see you next visit. I am looking forward to growing in his practice.
