Dr. Matthew R Kaufman, MD

I had revision rhinoplasty surgery back in August 2022. I have had nothing but problems since the surgery and regret having the surgery. The office has been awful to deal with as well. They are all about money and not about patient care. I will need to have a follow up surgery due to negligence on Dr. Kaufman's part during the surgery. I now have a lump on the side of my nose that was never there before the surgery. I am almost 8 months post op and have given healing enough time at this point. I still can not breathe properly and he just states to keep waiting. Extremely unhappy and dissatisfied.

My quality of life was negatively impacted by Occipital Neuralgia and Dr. Kaufman’ s nerve decompression expertise has been a complete blessing for me. I thank Dr. Kaufman for relieving me of the horrid pain I experienced. Because of Dr. Kaufman’ s genius I can now live a normal, pain free life.

After, a significant weight loss I was in need of extensive plastic surgery to help remove loose skin. I met with multiple surgeons for initial consults and lastly walked into TPSC, where I quickly knew I had met the surgeon for me, Dr. Kauffman. Besides, the fact that he did an incredible job sculpting my body he demonstrated honesty and directness from the moment of my initial consult. I had extensive cosmetic surgery (tummy tuck, lipo, and inner thigh lift) which has been life changing and with time only improves my appearance. In addition to being such a talented surgeon his entire staff is exceptional from the receptionist to the Nurses. I am extremely grateful for Dr.Kauffman, his entire staff and his partner Dr. Ibrahim.

Dr. Kaufman repaired my phrenic nerve to restore normal function to my diaphragm. Prior to surgery, I had very little, if any, function to my diaphragm. 18 months later, I now have normal function. Dr. Kaufman and his staff are extremely professional and talented. I highly recommend Dr. Kaufman.

After being diagnosed with paralysis on my left diaphragm I was told that there was nothing that could be done and I'd have to live with it the rest of my life. Having two young children and a formerly active lifestyle this was very discouraging. I found about Dr. Kaufman's pioneering surgery to decompress and reconstruct the phrenic nerve by searching online and after some further testing I found out I was a good candidate for the surgery. Being from Ontario, Canada I had to get approval for out of country care, but Dr. Kaufman's staff was amazing at helping me coordinate the logistics. Dr. Kaufman and his staff were very friendly and professional through all aspects of the surgery and pre and post care.

I was told by several doctors that they couldn't do anything for my bilateral phrenic nerves and diaphragm paralysis. I was so fortunate to find Dr. Kaufman's website. We flew from Minnesota to New Jersey and he did surgery, he did phrenic nerve grafting and placed a pacemaker in my diaphragm. I am breathing correctly now and getting stronger ever day! Dr. Kaufman and his staff are top notch and I thank God everyday for him! He deserves 10 stars!!

At first I was a bit apprehensive about this surgery , naturally, I needed not only some asthetic work which was secondary in my mind , but the functionality was and is paramount. That is the basis of my review, because not only is his “ bedside manor “ great , his knowledge and discussion of specifics left no room for worry. At the end of it all the follow up left me in disbelief since the injury I suffered which occurred at work seemed to present itself with the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, after his procedure was through. My injury as extensive as it is I am so grateful to be able to breathe again the way I did prior to it all. His staff was and is always courteous and that means a lot in this field . Dr.Kaufman preformed my breast reduction surgery in Sep 2019. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Kaufman and his staffs are excellent and made this process very smooth. Because of my health issues, my breast reduction was covered by my insurance. They did very good job of guiding me in collecting all the documents for pre- authorization from my insurance. On the day of surgery, doctor and his staffs were so much caring. Those staffs are A+ and I never received this kind of care anywhere else. I was having so much pain on my shoulder and in the entire upper body, after my breast reduction everything is gone, and it was a big relief from all my pain. Recovery pain is nothing comparing the pain that I had before. Thanks a million Dr.Kaufman.
