Dr. Matthew Lawless, MD

Dr. Lawless is a great doctor. I went to him after a fall. He immediately knew what the problem was and had me in surgery a week later. He was kind (and funny). And he cares about your recovery. He's a straight shooter--doesn't sugar coat anything (which I like). I highly recommend him.

His bed side manner was extremely rude, he improperly mistreated my infected knee and had to locate a specialist out of state to deal with the aftermath.

I've only had one visit so far and found his bedside manner the absolute best. That's very important to me.

Dr lawless was very patient, kind and listened to what I had to say , had a difficult knee situation, and was very excited to know he could fix a mistake on my knee made by another orthopedic,

I had an appt today and was extremely dissatisfied with the "care" I received. I've had knee issues since childhood and have been struggling ever since, while I'm still able to function I have stiffness and my knees give out all the time, more recently so that I fell and busted my face on the concrete. Something doesn't feel right and I know my body also I'm only 27 to be having so many issues. After Dr. Lawless sent in a resident that spent a few minutes examining me, they took a couple xrays, finally Dr Lawless comes in and spends roughly five minutes explaining that in his opinion my issues are from inactivity and being overweight and just to exercise. While i understand those are most certainly factors I'm not that over weight and asked if we could do some further testing to rule out any other issues such as MRI or ultra sound for my peace of mind as well and he refused stating it's a waste of his tax dollars, I've only been on caresoure for two months due to a job loss and he… acted like I was trying to take advantage of the system or something. Also, people on Medicaid should not feel bad or be put down for it and it was surprising hearing that from a so called "health care professional" I will be seeking a second opinion and again cannot believe the way he talked to me! It was the most unprofessional conduct I've ever seen in a doctor in my entire life. Maybe he should retire because honestly I'm not sure he even knew what he was doing which is scary. I would strongly recommend seeking another orthopedic doctor for your care.

Dr. Lawless is wonderful and so is his staff. Very professional. He give shots in the knee that you don't even feel. He uses the latest state of the art medicine to treat his patients. I had both of my knee replaced and I have mobility issues from a spinal cord injury and he still suggested I have my knees replaced to help my pain. I highly recommend Dr. Lawless.

300.00 to tell me that I need a total hip replacement. spent less than five minutes with me. had his assistant tell me what I needed to do to prep for surgery. 300.00 for five minutes of his time. Oh, by the way, that was a reduced rate for paying cash, and not having insurance

I now suffer from neuropathy due to the knee surgery.

Dr Lawless recommended extensive Pre-surgery physical therapy, which has shortened the rehabilitation time post surgery. I am now 3 months post surgery and walking without a cane most of the time. I still have bone pain and stiffness, but most of that works out during the day.

I Do Not recommend this Doctor! I had A total knee replacement revision with Dr Lawless and he totally messed up my leg. My surgical leg is now 1 1/2 inches longer and he put my leg at an angle so that I look knock kneed. I now have severe ankle, knee, hip and back pain!
