Dr. Matthew John Levinsky, MD

I went to see this provider back in 2012 because I was passing out and was having shortness of breath. The first visit he did an echo and said everything looked normal and said due to me being young he wasn’t concerned about any serious illnesses. I was still having problems and had an enlarged heart, but he was still shoving me off on someone else. I finally had enough and went somewhere else, turned out I have a rare illness that only had 5 year life expectancy if not treated. I’m so glad I did not relay solely on him or I would not be here today.

I have never been so frustrated with a doctor as I was this morning, Dr. Levensky at Sanger Heart Clinic. I do not even know where to begin. I sent to him for a racing heart and I was concerned to begin with when I looked at his rating which was terrible but wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. At my first appointment three weeks ago he hint that I have a hear value issues and emphysema but also indicated that he believed my race heart was due to thyroid issues. So he ordered a heart scan and a monitor for 48 hours. Spent all of two minutes with him the first time. So I saw again the morning where he run in and tells me that my heart rate ran from 88 to 150 at times but that was normal. My husband and I tried to explain that the one time I knew it happened I only walked from my car to house my pulse got to 117. He indicated that a rise in heart was expected when exercising. So I guess that next time a doctor ask me if I exercise I can say yes, I walk from my car to office, my… car to my home, and from my cubicle to the printer several times a day. Then he say that it my thyroid causing the issues. Oh I forget when I told him about my thyroid cancer he would get this blank look on his face even though you could tell he had no idea about it nor did he do any research regarding in the three weeks between visits. My husband had to him called back in the room and asked if she does not have a thyroid and the medication has been the same why would she (meaning me) not have it all the time which I do not. Here the part that gets me the most. The Doctor indicated that he did not know but that his guess even if there was no evidence of it. When I left they told me I could come if I needed anything. IF he was the last doctor on earth and I was having a massive heart attack, I would not let him touch. Even if he did I would probable die anyways. Avoid his at all possible.
