Dr Matthew Levy, MD

Dr Levy is an excellent cardiologist, and one of my favorite people. However, the staff of nurses seems to be unavailable the last few times I have called with some rather important questions and requests. I understand how busy they are with other patients, but we, who are unable to come to the office, have important problems, also. I hate to call and leave an urgent message and not hear from them. This does not effect the quality of the ability of Dr Levy, which is exemplary.

Dr.Mathews saved my life ,installing a pace maker last Oct.at midnight. He was also excellent on my follow up visits.

I cannot write a strong enough recommendation for Dr. Levy - an absolute professional. Gratitude abounds for Dr. Levy and his staff. I have had SVT since I was 12 years but it was not until my late 30's that I was having attacks that I could not convert out of. Every 3 years or so, I would have to go to the ER to get a dose of Adenosine and hope that it would be at least 3 years more until the next attack. I was educated about an ablation procedure which I was told would most likely correct my condition, but I'd had friends that had unsuccessfully had the procedure which created a sceptic in me. Not to mention the concern I had that it would be my luck that I would be in the less than 1% of patients that experience grave complications. As fortune would have it, 3 weeks ago I had another SVT episode while traveling on business. I went to the ER, got my adenosine fix, left the ER and while standing in the line to board my plane at the airport, had another episode. I was… converted in an ambulance and refused to go to the hospital. Twenty minutes later..another episode. Back in the ER, more adenosine..another episode..I was certain I would never make it back home. After a night in the ER, I finally made the 3.5 hour flight back home on Friday night. Monday morning I met with my cardiologist who called Dr. Levy, explained my situation and asked how soon he could get me in. I met with Dr. Levy later that day who told me that he was going to do whatever he could to get me in that week. I got a call saying that he could get me on Wednesday. The day of my ablation, I had no less that 6 SVT episodes and the ablation was performed at 5:30pm. It's been 3 weeks since the ablation and I have had no signs whatsoever of slipping into an SVT episode. Aside from Dr. Levy's technical expertise, his bedside manner is remarkable. I truly felt like I was a friend or family member that he was treating and not just another patient. If you need an ablation...don't wait! Go see Dr. Levy now!

Dr. Matthew Levy is an excellent physician. It is obvious that he practices medicine because he really cares about his patients and loves what he does. Dr Levy makes you feel positive about your procedure and because he spends his time talking with you, he calms your fears. He made our entire family comfortable and confident with him. He was just as great in his follow up care. Patients can not go wrong with this doctor.

He spoke directly to my mom, even though she has mild dementia and explained things in simple terms for her. He was very kind and caring, treating her with utmost respect and patience.
