Dr. Matthew Jason Malta, MD

Dr. Malta was my first Dr. when returning to MD from 42 years in MA. I thought that MA with it’s medical colleges and universities was the best. When I started with Dr. Malta, he was by far the best Dr. I have ever had. He took 1 1/2 hours in my first consultation to learn about my health history. This was compared to my usual -15 minutes with my previous Dr’s.

If you need a general practitioner and you can get an appointment with him, you will NOT be disappointed. I think the two or three "self-verified" reviewers with poor scores are fraudulent. They must be confused; the doctors they describe do not resemble the Dr. Malta that our family has known and trusted for the last 15 years.

My kind of Doc, considerate. concise, to the point, without any superior attitude.

I am a busy professional and travel often. He always gets back to me and is flexible in fitting me into his schedule. His referrals to specialists have been excellent as well. You can't get any better care.

He is one of the most empathetic, respectful and friendliest doctors I have met.

I have a physical disabilty/spinal cord injury which occasionally causes me getting sick or having some type of health problem and Dr Malta is always attentive to me 1st diagnosing my illness then treating it. I take about 6 medications that are either phoned in to pharmacy and a few prescriptions need to be hand written which is always called in on time and written in a timely manner because both Dr Malta and Becca (I think that's her name). Becca, his only full time employee is great at multi-tasking wearing many hats/jobs that includes receptionist, nurse and office manager to name a few. Single handedly, she keeps office organized that normally takes a few employees in office that runs as smooth as Dr Malta's office does like scheduling patients in timely manner so wait is short, phone in prescription are ready to pick up in timely matter, when Dr Malta is busy with patients she takes care of all things such as schedule and greet patients when they come in for appointment, taking… them to examination room and prepare them so Dr Malta can turn patients over fast while not rushing examination. Not to mention the paper work a doctor's office must create, so they work together giving patient a plesant visit to office relative to as close to a plesant doctor's visit one can get. His waiting room usually has only a couple patients waiting when you enter waiting room for appointment. Within 10-15 minutes your talking to doctor. Comparing that to a multii-doctor partnership or corporately owned doctor's office with a good size staff that has large waiting room full of testy patients looking at their watches getting upset of the long time they've already been there and can't understand why they scheduled them to come in over a good hour early just to wait, as if your time is insignificant compared to their time which they're saying their time is much more valuable because they show you no respect whenever you wait for over half an hour. Reason being they over book is the doctors herd as many patients in to make as much money as possible.

He is a disorganized physician. His staff does not know what insurance they take. When they no longer take a certain insurance they tell you they still do and then you get hit with a big out of network fee which they refuse to wave leaving you with no alternative but to pay to avoid a credit score hit. When you attempt to discuss somethin with the doctor he does not return calls. Very unprofessional
