Dr. Matthew Ross Mervis, MD

I wish Dr. Mervis would make a video that all future ob/gyns would be required to watch before beginning their practices. That is how great he is. The practice is great, and the staff is wonderful. Dr. Mervis makes me feel comfortable and cared for. He always explains everything in detail and makes me feel respected, understood and informed. He is compassionate and also brilliant. Other doctors in the community referred his practice to me and it's evident why. He is the gold standard of physicians.

Dr. Mervis is a great and very caring doctor. I have seen him for 15 years and has always been very caring (mostly when my sister was diagnosed and later died of ovarian cancer). He is very professional and very knowledge. He had always been there for me and after my sisters passing, he did everything to make sure I closely monitor my health since now we have cancer in the family history.Now that my husband and I are trying to have a baby, and just after a miscarriage a four months ago, when going to see him due to some 'issues' after the miscarriage, I was told by the front office that 'unfortunately you can no longer be a patient of ours'My husband is in the military and I have Tricare as a secondary insurance. They had known that in the past, and had sid they did not take it as a secondary insurance, so I never used it. On the day of my appointment (mind that they did not call me in advance to warn me before taking time off from work to make it to the appointment), they told me that… they could not see any patients that had any affiliation with Tricare.I love Dr. Mervis and he has been a great doctor to me. However his front desk staff lacks any manners and it is just so sad that I was really looking forward, as a patient of over 15 years, to have him with me through the process of having a new family. However, in the time I needed him the most, his staff, in the rudest way, told me I could not be their patient any more. Since I could not find a 'new doctor' fast enough to see what issues I was having after the miscarriage, I had to go to the ER to be seen in less than the month and a half it takes for new patients else where, and now I am here looking for a new doctor.Great doctor. I truly miss having him as my OBGYN, but what a true disappointment
