I wanted a second opinion and had heard fantastic things about Dr Niesen. He was thorough, listened well, and offered a treatment option on that first visit! I left his office confident that I had finally found a dr who could help me with my hip issues.

Dr Niesen did a knee replacement on my right knee, almost 2 years ago. He also has cleaned up tears in both my shoulders. I cannot say enough good things about him and his team. He is easy to talk to, takes the time to listen to your needs and concerns. His staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend him for your orthopedic needs.

Very impressed with a caring doctor. Listens and answers all questions. Doesn't rush you during office visit. Easy to contact thru My Chart and answers all of my concerns. Had new knee and he came to hospital every day to see me. Followups visits and puts your concerns first. A great doctor and now my friend. Keep up the good work.

I had my surgery booked with another surgeon in Madison. I decided to get a second opinion as I heard really good things about Dr. Niesen. Boy, am I glad I did that! After spending nearly 40 minutes (wow!!) with him I felt that he was the right man for the job. I made the change to have him do my knee replacement when I saw how complete and meticulous he was in clinic! I knew I was not going to get that type of attention and care anywhere else.
