Dr. Matthew William Payne, MD

After several failed attempts with other Dr's I did not have much confidence going into my appointment. However, I was quickly proven wrong. Dr. Payne was very prompt. My apt was at 9:40 and he was right on time. I had my prior records from other Dr's who did not correctly diagnos the issue. He spent a lot of time with me discussing previous results, asking questions, and diagnosing the issue. He really made me feel very comfortable and genuinely seemed to care about my health concerns. He ordered and xray then called first thing the next morning with the results. He was then extremely prompt in contacting a specialist for the issue. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Payne. He is genuinely a nice person and great Dr. I appreciate everything he and has staff have done for me. I will definitely continue seeing him for any future concerns I have.

Matt has been my physician for all of his 8 years of experience. He's grown as a physician and is now very comfortable and confident with his patients. He very knowledgeable and has a calm delivery. He also worked well with my oncologist and radiologist while I was battling cancer. Thankfully, I'm fine now but Matt always remembers to ask and inform me of things to look for to mitigate any reoccurance or long terrm side effects For example, my head and neck cancer renders the thyroid ineffective after about 3 years and it happened just as expected. We were able to counter the effects with meds.

My primary doc was on vacation and I saw Dr. Payne for an acute problem. He was very nice and had good bedside manner but when I got worse the next day, all his nurse said was to "go to the emergency room". This was not the kind of care my PCP would have offered. His nurse also did not suggest I follow up when I had new symptoms over the weekend, again -"go to (that expensive) ER". I should have asked to see another doc.
