Dr. Matthew Lee Robertson, MD

He fails to read his charts before he enters the room. Each visit he acts like it is the first time he has ever seen you. His lack of surgery expertise has led to numerous corrective surgeries, with another doctor. I would never recommend this doctor.

I took my 4 year old daughter to see Dr. Robertson and was disappointed in the way he handled her appointment from start to finish. His first question when he walked into the room was directed at me" "what do you do?" I wasn't even sure what he meant by this. Turns out he was asking what my profession is; this seemed like an odd way to open up a conversation. He did not spend very much time examining my daughter and then told me that, in his opinion, she needed a tonsillectomy, an adenoidectomy, and a frenulectomy. I was not necessarily surprised by the suggestion that she needed a tonsillectomy and an adenoidectomy, but was shocked by the frenulectomy (he said she was mildly tongue tied). His mannerism was very cavalier. Because of this, I decided to get a second opinion at Children's Hospital. I am so glad I did! The doctor there told me that my daughter's tonsils are actually pretty small and, since she does not seem to otherwise have issues, the doctor does not believe… they need to be removed. After looking at my daugher's adnoids on an x-ray (something Dr. Robertson did not do), she said that an adenoidectomy may be beneficial. When I asked if she thought my daughter was tongue tied, she looked shocked and asked if someone had recommended a frenulectomy. When I told her that another doctor had (i.e., Dr. Robertson), she told me that there is nothing wrong with my daughter's tongue. I am so relieved that I followed my gut and got a second opinion. I would not recommend Dr. Robertson.

This doc knew what he was talking about and was sure to give me the basic patient education. He used humor to make me feel more at ease with my cancer diagnosis. He is very casual and talks to you like a friend not a professional and I personally really like that. His nurse was ill the day of my appointment so my wait time was rather long, but I don't mind since I feel confident in his ability.

Arrogant, narcissistic jerk--unprofessional. This man is only practicing medicine.

One star is too high for this man and his office admin. Of course it was easy getting an appointment with a bad doctor. Worst Doctor I have ever been too! Very unprofessional, consistently touched my teenage daughter's legs and hit my husband in the shoulder when he thought he said something funny. Wasted much of our time talking about himself. The office administrator defended his actions by calling him "down to earth". Excuse me? In this day and age, down to earth does not mean having your hands all over people that you have just met and while you should be establishing a professional relationship first. Getting touchy with a teenage girl only tells me he has serious problems. NEVER go to Alpine Ear, Nose & Throat or you will be sorry!I was in such shock I didnt know how to react at the time, but I wish I would have stopped the appt. immediately and gotten my daughter out of there - I have learned a valuable lesson.

I had an Orbital blow out and saw Dr. Robertson and I have nothing bad to say about him. His best quality was his bedside manner. He knew his stuff great and made sure he explained everything to the best of his knowledge and welcomed questions. He was extremely friendly and went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable every step along the way. The most important thing to him always seemed to be me and my comfort. I would recommend him to everyone and if I every again need an ENT, he will be my doctor.
