Dr. Matthew William Ruble, MD

Dr. Ruble is a competent and caring doctor. Anyone who is lucky enough to have him as their doctor is blessed.

Bright, knowledgeable, and experienced. Very caring, approachable and really listens. Looks for solutions to the overall/underlying issues and does not just "treat symptoms with pills." He travels from Boston all the way to Provincetown and Orleans multiple times per week, which shows his dedication to people and to the profession. There is a scarcity of physicians on the Outer Cape and his experience is very welcome. With regards to co-pays, I had poor insurance for a while with limited visits and he offered to let my primary care physician take over the prescriptions to reduce my out-of-pocket costs until I could afford to resume visits with him directly, so that I could continue treatment while I had tight finances. I chose to keep seeing him, but I appreciate the fact that he was thinking ways to help my situation. Scheduling: he suggested that we find time for a longer visit and they were able to find the time, showing me that although he is in demand, he wants to give full… attention to my specific case. He has recommended good therapists and offers to follow up with them directly.

Dr. Ruble is a compassionate physician with excellent follow through and care. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ruble's manner is comforting and gentle. He asks lots of questions and listens to the answers. I feel he is very good at diagnosing and strategizing about ways to get better. I didn't think much of psychiatrists until I met him. Would highly recomment.
