Dr. Matthew Schillinger, DO

Seen Dr Schillinger in ER for abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, itchiness, etc...he came in and asked what was going on. I told him that I have Crohn's and he said "So this isn't Crohn's flare?" I said "it's different" so he said "then what's wrong with you" and I said I didn't know. Then he said "well than how am I supposed to know?" He flat out refused to do anything about my pain, but then told the guy in the next bed who came in with abdominal pain that he would order some pain medicine. I was flabbergasted to say the least. Yes I have a chronic condition with a lot of pain. But I have never in my life been made to feel like more of a drug seeker in my life. If he would've checked back in my records which he should have done seeing that I'm chronic, he would've noticed that not once EVER have I tested positive for ANY kind of drugs legal or illegal. Why is that? Because I DONT DO DRUGS!! Not to mention this visit probably stemmed from a prior admittance a month ago with esophagal… candidias. He made me feel lower than the dirt on his shoe. If you see he is your dr please request another.

Very easy to talk to and got it. He went the extra mile, spent time with my daughter, showed her the X-ray and got on her level. Laughed and taught her some anatomy. Despite one of the busiest ER’s in the country, the extra effort was appreciated. Would highly recommend.

He was amazing! You could tell he loves his profession!

Dear Sir, I hope you read this. So you may realize your stupidity. I went in with my son, who mind you, is 15. Jason, my son, was complaining about stomach pains for 4 days now and I was starting to worry it was something more serious. We met with Dr. Schillinger and took an unnecessary x-ray. Then after a half hour of looking at the worthless x-rays, he says, "Your son will be fine. Just eat some chocolate." We left the building with an enormous bill and poor advice. Needless to say, we followed his awful advice. My son's stomach pains have NOT gone away and, if anything, have gotten worse. I highly recommend you look for another doctor so you won't make the same mistake as I did.

My husband is one of the sweetest, most easy going people ever, and he has a chronic illness so we’ve seen a lot of doctors over the years. We have NEVER met a doctor more arrogant and cruel than Dr. Schillinger. He belittled my husband and while my husband was explaining that these are symptoms of his illness that he has experienced before, the doctor literally turned to the nurse and said, “Can he not hear me? Is he slow?” And then walked out and left the nurse apologizing on his behalf.
