Dr. Matthew Kirk Steehler, MD

I called and made an appointment several weeks ago for MYSELF as I am new to the area and have had chronic issues with sinus, ears, etc. Appointment set. I show up, check in, fill out paperwork, and low and behold, I am told Dr. Steehler cannot see me because a physician did not refer me. WHAT? SERIOUSLY HUN? I just drove 50 minutes, one way, your office called to confirm my appointment the day before, and you are going to tell me NOW that I have to have a physician referral to get an appointment? Why the h*ll didn't your office staff, who set the appointment, tell me that at the time? Maybe she would like to reimburse us the cost of the fuel?? Future patients beware! And btw...not even an "I'm sorry for the mixup, etc." Very unprofessional. AND THE ONLY REASON FOR A ONE STAR RATING IS THEY DIDN'T HAVE A SMALLER ONE.

Dr. Steehler diagnosed my thyroid cancer with a needle biopsy. He performed a thyroidectomy in a clean facility, surrounded by caring, competent staff. His patient care and follow-up were excellent! He helped me be confident through the whole process.
