Dr. Matthew J Tierney, DO

Going to the ER at 7 am with serious pain in my stomach region. After an ultra sound, received notice that I had gall stones and my gall bladder had to be removed. Dr Tierney previously worked on my brother in law so my sister highly recommended him. The nurse made a call to his office to see if he would be able to do my surgery. His comment was that I was in his family as a family member already was a patient of his. Dr Tierney was so kind and caring. Before surgery he explained to me everything about my gall bladder, the procedure, and the recovery. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family and give him 10 stars if I could.

Going to the ER with abdominal pain was horrific. The doctor spoke with me about the process and answered all my questions with care and compassion. He did an excellent job and I am on the road to recovery. I would recommend him to my friend and family in a heartbeat.k

Dr. was fine in person and surgery went well with no complications. Office staff is friendly but unhelpful. When I arrived on time for my post surgical follow up visit I was told he was "running 90 minutes late". They made no attempt to notify me of the delay prior to this. When I arrived on time for second office visit scheduled prior to a colonoscopy, I was told he was "running an hour late". After waiting 80 minutes I told them I was leaving. They made no attempt to follow up. Surgeons should clearly spend whatever time is needed in the operating room, but office staff who are aware of his frequent lateness should attempt to notify patients of the delay by phone call or text. I would suggest routinely calling prior to your appointment unless youenjoy spending an hour or more waiting in line...

He is a wonderful man and surgeon. His patients receive the best of care.

Dr Tierney did my hernia surgery. He is wonderful. Took time to explain to me. Great bedside manner. Cares. When I asked how long for the surgery and he said as long as he needs to do it. He wasn't rushed to get done. Did the surgery right the 1st time without mistakes. Very nice man. Would return to him again!

Very impressed with Dr Tierney. I was visiting family in Plymouth away from my home (Florida) and developed Appendicitis. He was prompt in getting me into surgery and taking care of the situation. Thank you!
