Dr.Tutt is the best neurosurgeon I have ever been to. He is so patient and listens to what your issues are. He is a blessing and has given me my life back!

Highly recommend this doctor. Very compassionate and his abilities seem endless. Never makes you feel rushed and answers all your questions.

I hope the review about your mother is true and not just a respond to help make this Dr, look better. I was told this surgery would work and it did not. Even after surgery he told me and my family I would have a life changing experience with no results except a bad scar and a sunken place on my head. Had a follow up with him 4 months after surgery which has been 13 months now and has never contacted me to see if I have had any changes . Was told at last office visit he could try another procedure which he had talk to a surgeon about but it would be more risky. Why in the world would I let him try another procedure when he thought he had fix the problem the first time. I have ask a MEDICAL DOCTOR why this didn't work and she said because that was not what was causing the problem. There are still some Doctors that will tell you the truth. Like I said if your review is a true one and not someone trying to make him look good I am happy for all your results.

My mother was having severe facial pain as well. Her face pain was so severe she told me she didn't know if she would be able to live with the pain. I spent many hours researching neurosurgeons that were trained in this kind of brain surgery. The surgeons I researched were not limited to Central Kentucky. I looked at Cincinnati, Duke, Johns Hopkins, etc. Based on many things, I chose Dr. Matthew Tutt. I actually read the review on this web site, and because of the review I was a little hesitant in choosing him. Fortunately, we had the exact opposite experience. I'm so glad we did choose him because he spent quite a bit of time during my mother's office visit explaining the procedure and possible complications. He also was very clear in telling us that even though this surgery has helped many people it was not an absolute guarantee of relief. We were very impressed with the care and time he took with us. We are so happy we decided to have him do her surgery because my… mother's surgery went amazingly smooth. She was only in the hospital two nights. She actually could have went home the next day but she had to spend a second night because she has really bad sugar diabetes . Her facial pain relief was amazing. And I was surprised how small her scar was on her head once the small bandage was removed. She had been very worried about how the scar would look but it was very small considering she had brain surgery. She has done so well since and I'm glad I took the time to thoroughly research the best surgeon for this type of surgery. My mom was so afraid before surgery but knew she had to get relief and now all she does is sing the praises of this fine surgeon. Based on my mother's experience, another relative went to Dr. Tutt to have back surgery. He ended up having to have screws put in his back because his spine was so bad. My uncle had a wonderful experience as well!! He has fully recovered and is back at work.

I had brain surgery to stop facial spasms with no results at all. Was told this surgery was successful after surgery with no results at all, except for an awful scar and sunken place on head. Would not recommend this type surgery.
