Dr. Matthew Lee Ubell, MD

I was a patient at Moreland ENT for many years. Unfortunately. the physician I saw has retired. As a result, the next appointment was scheduled with Dr. Ubell. I had never seen him before but I thought highly of the practice and assumed he’d have some level of competence. My mistake. Dr. Ubell doesn’t care at all about his patients. All he wants to do is give patients hearing tests and then tell them they need a hearing aid. Wouldn’t listen to anything I had to say or even refer to the notes in my chart from the other doctors in this practice - I’d been a patient there for 12 years prior to that so there was documentation to refer to. I was belittled and ridiculed for not having 100% hearing and because I had episodes of vertigo and dizziness. My balance is so off that I fall often. When I shared this with him he literally laughed. In my opinion, this man shouldn’t be practicing any type of medicine.

I could not get a bad nose bleed to stop and went to ER. They had trouble getting it to stop and sprayed it with something that constricted the blood vessel and after clipping for an hour it stopped. They sent me home and told me to get an appointment with an E,N and T Doctor. Mine had passed away so they suggested Dr Ubell for two days later. Unfortunately 2 hours after I got home from the ER the nose bleed started again. The ER had told me to come back if it started bleeding again and they would have to pack it with a type of gauze. I had had that done before and would not recommend that to anyone. I called his office and asked if I could see anyone that could cauterize the vein. At first she checked and said no one had time. It was about 11:30 AM. She then got off the phone and talked to Dr Ubell and he said to come in immediately. He saw me and cauterized it over his lunch hour. That was a week ago and I have had no bleeding since. What a relief. Very nice man and… doctor!

I am a new patient and he was on time, throrough and listened to my concerns. The visit was short, but I did not feel rushed. Glad that I selected him as my ENT.

I would recommend Dr. Ubell to anyone. He was honest and gave me some good recommendations.

Thanks to Dr. Ubell! My earrings were stuck in. He quickly removed them and as a bonus (not the reason I came in), he removed some wax buildup in my ear.

I visited Dr. Ubell because I was having difficulty with a sore throat and eating … he gave me a prescription for Acid Reflux and I will be seeing him again in a couple of months to report on that....but while I was there I talked to him about another concern (not at all related to my visit with him) and he was able to make some suggestions and told me to contact my primary physician right away. He also notified HER of my issue. I did follow up with her and found that his diagnosis was correct....I had shingles! Because of my visit to him I was able to get the medication I needed from my primary physician the very next day and am now on the long road to recovery.

Professional easy to understand diagnosis friendly

We went to Dr. Ubell on a recommendation of a friend. He was very professional and thorough. I most appreciate his honestly. I didn't want my son to have surgery unless it was NEEDED. He was honest with me, didn't just tell me to have the surgery just to gain a patient. I appreciated that very much. I recommended him to my mom already! Thank you!

I found Dr. Ubell to be incredibly intelligent, and willing to fight the system in the best interest of his client. I was treated very well, and have absolutely no complaints in regard to this Doctor.
