Dr. Matthew John Werner, MD

I had this doctor many years ago and I absolutely loved him and his staff he wasnt at this location so maybe his restrictions have something to do w/ all I’m reading . I tried calling today & they wouldn’t even let me pay cash to see him that’s how much I trust his knowledge as a doctor I have insurance but was willing to pay for it .. there comes a point where medical professionals must be exactly that PROFESSIONAL not worry about feelings they are there to assure the safety of you , your baby and a safe delivery holding your hand is for your spouse to do . Just my opinion ty Dr Werner for the many years you served many communities

Pathetic doctor, hateful and arrogant

This doctor has some of the WORST bedside manner I have ever experienced. He was so exceptionally dismissive of me and my concerns. The first time I met him, he made me cry at 36 weeks pregnant. Kaiser, please PLEASE don't continue to employ this person. I purposely scheduled my induction to avoid him, I made sure he was not on call within 48 hours of my appointment.

I have never met a doctor like this one. I am 39 weeks pregnant with my second child and was having contractions last night leaving me really anxious. I went to Stafford Hospital and the nurse put me in a triage room and I wanted to see the doctor. Dr. Werner came in and didn’t even introduce himself. The first think he said to me was “this is your second baby? Do you really think you are in labor because you would know.” I responded this was my second however with my first I didnt feel this much pain it’s two completely different pregnancies. He then told me he would check but if I’m not in “real” pain I’m not in labor and I need to go home and go to bed. I’m not sure if he thought I was just some young kid because I do look young for my age however, there is absolutely no excuse for a doctor to talk to any patient this way. Not to mention he is working with very sensitive hormonal women who already have so many changes that have already happened to their body and going to change… more during delivery. After he did the cervical check he didn’t even speak to me to tell me if I was dilated anymore or what was going on. He simple went to the nurse writing the information in the computer and said “what was she last time” he looked at the computer and said “put same” and walked out the door. I am baffled with Kaiser for allowing a man with such horrible reviews on treating women still allowed to practice. I will always refuse care from this man if I ever run into him again while telling anyone and everyone to stay clear of this man. I hope there is repercussions for this behavior because clearly his reviews are all about poor bedside manner.

I was 39 weeks pregnant with my first child when I HAD to see Dr. Werner. I went into the office at 11:30am. He walks in the room and asks “what’s going on?” I reply “I think I’m having contractions.” He says to me “if you THINK you’re having contractions, then they’re fake.” He hooked my up to the machine to monitor the contractions and babies heartbeat. After 30 minutes goes by he comes in to check the report and says “yep, no contractions”. I asked him what was I feeling then?? His nurse came in and he had the machine set up incorrectly. Turned out the contractions were actually 3 min apart and very REAL. Being my first child, I had no idea when to go into the hospital and what I would be feeling. He told me I wouldn’t have this baby for at least 24-48 hours. Told me to stay home until the last minute (we are 30 minutes from the hospital). 6.5 hours (5:30pm) later I couldn’t take the pain anymore and the contractions were closer together. We got to the hospital and had the baby 14.5… hours (2am). I’m so glad I listened to my body and not Werner!

Most UNPROFESSIONAL Doctor I ever delt with. Recently had my first baby which should be a wonderful/ positive experience but was completely the opposite having to deal with Dr. Werner. Instead of a simple greeting hello my name is Dr. Werner how are you feeling. I got “ you are going home today this is no place of hospitality, you need to heal in your own bed and eat your own food at home ( he had me in tears- and also exchanged a few words with my husband and my father who were in the room at the time of Dr. Werner’s entrance) Mind you the doctor who delivered my baby already stated I would be staying another night due to the fact of complications during my delivery. A complete workup was not even complete on my baby. Dr. Werner was going to discharge me without even assessing me as well. I couldn’t even walk on my own at this point in time, how can one be sent home to take care of a newborn baby when not even being able to care for myself yet. I refused his care and told him to… leave and not come back in my room. Being a nurse I know how people deserve to be treated and deserve to be cared for and the type of care/ treatment that should be experienced during a hospital stay/ any doctors visit. I guess that’s why people say most nurses are better than the doctors. He messed with the wrong one and I hope from his experience with me he learns how to treat people with love & respect and give them the proper treatment they deserve. If he were the last doctor on this earth I would still refuse his care because of the disrespect and lack of bedside manner!

I worked for this doctor, a number of years ago. I have never in my life seen an MD with so much integrity and love for his patients. He went way beyond professionalism - he truly cared for his patients. He has a vast knowledge of female conditions and does not hesitate to seek all avenues of information to keep current and up-to-date. Where ever he is practicing now - that community to truly blessed.

Wonderful caring doctor with very good clinical skills!!!! It is hard to find doctors who have good bedside manners and good clinical skills. Dr Werner has both and can definitely be trusted to give you the best advice for your the care you need.

He barely spends any time with patients and sends his nurses to do all his dirty work. He's not friendly what so ever and has a bad attitude. I personally wouldn't recommend him to anybody.

Dr. Werner is the best. He is funny and caring towards his patients. I would recommend him to anybody.
