Dr. Maulik Shah, MD

First appointment with this doctor, highly recommended by a friend of mine. Easy appointment setup, the staff was pleasant and courteous. Dr Shah did not rush the consultation, he was very thorough in explaining the next steps. I definitely recommend him as your ENT specialist!!!

He is the best ENT I have seen. Very knowledgeable and extremely gentle. Listens and explains. Highly recommend. Office staff is great also.

Dr Shah is a doctor that truly listens, explains clearly, gently performs procedures, respectfully answers questions, and is genuinely a great doctor!

The visit was pretty standard. I don't think I waited too long to see Dr. Shah and he was patient and professional. I really enjoyed that he gave me a detailed look at next steps for my condition! He said he'd write a prescription and when I asked the medical assistant right by the room for it, she said he electronically sent it to the pharmacy. Following up was a different story. After the weekend I called my pharmacy to find out that nothing had been sent over, so I called Canyon Sky ENT and pressed 2 to speak with the receptionist. The voicemail was full. Then I tried again and pressed a different option and got an medical assistant (Lizzie) who told me my medication was an OTC brand that didn't need a prescription. I explained that didn't sound right as part of the conversation with Dr. Shah included him saying he'd write a new prescription as he didn't think my current medication (the same OTC brand she stated) was helping, so she said she'd look into it for me. 15 minutes later… I called back and they said they'd just sent it over (correct prescription medication) The next day I called my pharmacy to discover, yet again, that nothing had been received, so I called Canyon Sky ENT to ask them what had happened. First they told me they DID send it and proceeded to blame my pharmacy, saying this happens all the time (It's the first time it happened to me), and said they'd look into it. 15 minutes later they said that they'd sent it with my wrong birthdate. (I should note that they require you physically write your birthdate on at least 5 different separate forms before you're even treated, so how they got this wrong is beyond me.) At least they apologized (the first time since this entire debacle started), but I won't be returning. I have enough to manage with my own life without stressing about basic competency and ownership from a doctor's office.

I can honestly say that Dr. Shaw is the best in the Valley, I was referred to him by my daughters allergist. I was a bit worried about getting a different ENT but honestly he has been awesome. He knows what he is doing. He performed a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy on her. The recovery was painful for her but it's like any other surgery painful. After her surgery she never had complications she did not bleed he did an amazing job. The office staff is very helpful, especially Todd. He is now our family ENT. Thank you Dr. Shaw and Staff

I have lived in 3 countries and I have not had such a negative experience with a doctor before. I went to see him because of his good reviews. I went because I am in a lot of pain in my right ear. He looked at it so quickly and got me out of his office in less than 5 minutes that I am still trying to process why he did that? AND I AM STILL IN PAIN!! He told me there was nothing wrong with my ear, despite of the symptoms I told him I was feeling, and the intense pain/pressure in my ear. I am beyond frustrated, wasted my time and money, and I am still in pain. I swear he was with me for less than 5 minutes! He did not even say good-bye, he simply took me out of the room to talk to his assistant, and then quietly went inside another room. Where are your manners and professionalism Dr Shah?

I took the trouble to go see him about a swollen lymph node in my throat. He told me it wasn;t cancer WITHOUT doing a biopsy. Not good, I later found out when my GP was shocked about that.

Dr.Shah was amiable and professional. The consultations were very straightforward, and he did a great job of alleviating my concerns regarding the operation. Follow ups were easily scheduled and changed, and I had prompt response from him and his assistant after surgery.
