Dr. Maxwell Dartey, MD

I went to the hospital in labor with my second child in the middle of the night and he was the doctor on call. Once he came in the room he did nothing but talk down to me, lecture me for not having an OB set already, question how hard I had even looked to find one, tell me to call around first thing in the morning, and just generally treat me badly when I was in pain. I explained my situation in between contractions (we had moved abruptly to CA across the country when I was 35 weeks due to my husband's job and not a single OB I called would take a patient that late in pregnancy) but he did not care and was not sympathetic. I was in labor and dilated to a 4 but he sent me home and I went in tears because of how condescending he was. He made me want to go to an entirely different hospital to deliver but luckily when I came back about two hours later after my water had broken day shift doctors were there and they were actually nice. I would do anything possible to not see this doctor… again ever and would definitely not recommend him.

Worst doctor I don't recommend he doesn't care about pregnant women very lazy he makes u wait for hours while he's on his personal phone with his family and friends. Your appointment will be cancelled almost every month and sometimes they don't even call you so u have to go to ur appointment and find out urself that the doctor is not at the office

He is the best doctor i have ever had,he delivered both my boys and i would recommend him to anyone,the staff is also amazing.

It takes to long for paperwork to get done. Wait time is 2 weeks.
