Dr. Maxwell Charles Furr, MD

Unwilling to follow up with his patients even when they have an ENT emergency. Because of his treatment, my hearing got worse.

Dr. Furr and his office worked to get my surgery approved quickly, and my result couldn't be better. I've sent at least 2 other people to see him too. We need more dr's like him!

Calling before the pre-op exam, I was told I didn’t have an appointment, but Dr. Furr could see me “a couple streets away” and they would “fit me in”. The “couple streets away” was in downtown Portland. I never agreed to an appointment in downtown Portland because I don’t drive there. I was never told addresses for any of the 3 appointments. No attempt was made to find a time over the 5 days before surgery except to drive downtown. I could, however, wait for 12 days post-op and see Dr. Furr at St. Vincent Hospital if I didn’t mind the stitches being in for 5 extra days. I hope they treat others with more understanding and respect. Be warned that just because Dr. Furr has an office at St. Vincent's doesn't mean that you will see him there before or after surgery or at any time other than if he is working at St. Vincent's on Tuesdays. Scheduling was a nightmare for me.

I was very impressed with Dr. Furr. He spent a lot of time with me and was impressed with the hearing test. Best ENT I have been to I believe.
