Dr. Caveney was the best doctor I could have had for kidney stone removal. He instilled supreme confidence in the choice of procedure, he’s a good listener with a caring bedside manner. When I was told I was having Prostrate problems, I was not a happy camper. I’m an 81 year old man. I’ve had 6 major surgeries and had long since grown tired of being sliced/diced and poked/prodded. However, because the male Prostrate is usually associated with the big ‘C’ word, I pulled up my big boy pants and called Dr. Maxx Caveney with Urology Partners. Dr. Caveney had been recommended to me by my Primary Care Physician and I could not have made a better decision. To say Dr. Caveney knows his stuff would be doing him a great injustice. Not only does he know all the ins and outs of his speciality, he and his staff talked me through the entire procedure. Their kindness alone relieved most of my stress. My procedure came off exactly as they had explained and I was back home in my easy chair that same afternoon. The best decision I ever made was to discuss my incontinence issue with my doctor and not accept it as old age. I was referred to Dr. Caveney and after a few tests it was determined that the cause of my issue was an enlarged prostrate. I elected to have laser surgery and after after a week was totally back to normal. No leaks, no pads, no catheters and no meds. It was difficult to overcome the embarrassment of discussing my problem but Dr. Caveney and the staff at UPNT put me at ease through the testing and surgery.

A suspected prostate cancer is very scary. My PCP suggested Dr. Caveney. My experience with him was very heartening. I wanted to do a blood test first to see if the cancer was aggressive. He listened to my ideas and said the test wouldn’t change his mind about the biopsy. I then agreed with him and he did an excellent job on the biopsy. No pain, very little bleeding, and an excellent surgery center staff. The test showed a localized cancer and at the follow-up we decided to watch the prostate and do another in a year.
