Dr. Maya Bailey

Maya Bailey is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in compassionate, proactive mental health care to treat an array of topics including mood disorders, stress management, and relationship issues. Her prior experience includes working with clients living with substance use disorder and eating disorders, and she has a passion for researching sustainable self-care strategies to prevent and treat burnout. Maya received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alabama. As a counselor, Maya’s goal in life is to be the person she needed when she was growing up, creating a community that halts the endless battles with self-doubt, self-judgment, and self-criticism and embraces self-trust, self-respect, and self-love. She is passionate about utilizing creative modalities and evidence-based interventions to accomplish this goal. From the day she walked into the world, Maya knew …she was different.
