Dr. Maya Eve Shetreat-Klein

i was referred to dr klein from a trusted practitioner and was not prepared for the informal conversation that i was billed $1400 for. after the call, i sent in many labs as requested and waited for the well-paid for response. i waited for weeks and then was dismissed and mistreated as i repeatedly asked for her opinion on the matter i specifically called for in the first place. finally her response was to ask for more tests, including tests that i sent her weeks ago. i can not recommend this "doctor" and in fact suggest you avoid this situation.

Dr. Shetreat-Klein was always prompt at billing for lengthy phone consultations and good at promoting her book and her TV appearance. She was late for the appointment, we had to wait outside as she had no staff and the office was a dump. Over two years later my son is still having seizures. She would take one to two seeks to respond to phone calls or emails. When asked some pointed questions as to her role n my son's care she ran for cover and said she was just a 'consultant. I find that unacceptable, unethical and immoral. Avoid her for anything.

Do NOT go to this doctor. Dr. Shetreat-Klein saw my son for anxiety and tics. She told me on the phone before i made the appt that "she has a treatment that can help his tics and she "just" helped another child with tics". That was a lie. I paid $650 for a consultation where she just listened and gave me NO SOUND advice. She charged me $120 for Reishi herbs to give to my son. My son began having mini "epileptic type" fits from this herb, i emails her office and left her vmsgs. NO reply from her office. NO reply from her for 8 Days!!!! I took him of the herb. She asked fro 36 vials of blood from my son. She charged another $250 to go over the results (which were all ok, she found nothing). She had NO ADVICE for me. I would not waste my time on this hoax!!!

we had been to doctors at the best institutions--columbia, hopkins, mayo. no one could figure out what was wrong. dr shetreat-klein changed his diet and put him on a herbal regimen and gave him his life back.

her theories on lyme disease resulted in lots of expensive tests and a false positive diagnoses. after months of antibiotics i developed an antibiotic resistant infection, and endured months of intravenous experimental antibiotics to try to fight this new infection.
