Dr. Mayer Gorbaty, MD

I could not help but read the negative review on Dr. Gorbaty and respond as a patient who know him for many years. He is the most wonderful, kind and knowlegable oncologist around. I think that reviewer wanted to ruin his reputation over something related to something else.

I have a skin condition on my legs. Dr. Gorbatymade a disrepectful comment saying my skin looks like alligator skin while Mercer the nurse was present. I had a partial mastectomy. He asked me the pull down my pants to see my c-section scar. Why??? I didn't do it. My internal medicine doctor never does that! Since when did medical oncologist become gynecologist.I am going to find another oncologist.

Mayer Gorbaty is a horrible person which makes him an even worse oncologist. No suffering cancer patient should ever have to be treated by him. His soft spoken voice and demeanor is merely a façade of a wolf in sheepâ??s clothing. He resents informed patients and has no respect for their questions or concerns about treatment. Itâ??s his way or the highway, and he actually said he has "no patience for patients" who have doubts or fears about his dictatorial treatment plan, and tries to shove them off onto another doctor. Abusing and dismissing cancer patientsâ??who are desperately trying to figure out the best thing to do, as quickly as possibleâ??makes him an absolute monster.

Dr. Gorbaty is totally amazing! Kind, caring, everything was explained to us so there were no surprises during my treatment. I was fully prepared for the side effects of chemo since everything was explained so well. His staff is tops-when you leave a message, they get back to you within a decent amount of time. Caring and compassionate!
