Dr. Meena G Pathikonda, MD

Doctor was very pushy about how she wanted things done when I was pregnant with my son. At 12 weeks pregnant with my first child, I had some bleeding. I panicked not knowing why I was bleeding. I went in for an ultrasound. NOW I know it was just a subchorionic hemorrhage and wasn’t a death sentence for my baby. At the time, I had no idea that any bleeding happened ever during pregnancy. I asked her if the baby was going to be okay, to which she replied, “I don’t know. It’s up to God.” I immediately found a better doctor who explained what the problem was, that it was common, and based on the ultrasound he would be just fine.

I have been seeing Dr Pathikonda for 34 years. She is easy to talk to and has always taken care of my female problems. Dr Pathikonda is great! I highly recommend her as a female Doctor.

Dr. Pathikonda was kind and gentle. She listened and answered all my questions without rushing me. My surgery went smoothly and had minimal pain with quick healing. I would definitely recommend her for any GYN problems

She will take care of all your needs. She’s an excellent doctor but she needs better staff

This was my 1st pregnancy I went to her and was told I was gunna have a miscarriage heart beat was at 85bpm, my levels were low and it looked like my baby was not growing I was 7 weeks then was told to make appointment for another ultrasound the following week and no heart beat she says heart beat we possibly heard was mine so she jus recommended I go home and wait how ever long it will take too let my body do it’s own work (God’s natural way) and too make appt. for the following week no other options I was devastated to know I had a dead baby inside me . It was mentally challenging and I was hitting depression 2 weeks later and still nothing long story short I end up at ER and the ER OBGYN gave me 2 other choices why didn’t this doctor do the same instead of keep coming in every week to see if I was getting closer to miss caring money hungry!!

The waiting room leaves much to be desired however the doctor is outstanding. She answered my questions, didn't talk down to me. Didn't rush me. This may cause other patients to wait, but I'd rather wait a little longer to get this type of treatment. She preformed my surgery and I had no problems at all.

The facility appears nice from the outside but the office itself is rundown. On my first visit I waited 25 minutes to be seen and the nurse repeatedly called me "mom" when I have no children, I am not pregnant, and I have had 3 miscarriages. I asked her to please stop and she began to give me an attitude. The initial appointment with Dr. Pathikonda felt very rushed (after having a long wait) and when I would ask a question she gave vague answers. Today would have been my second appointment which was scheduled at 2:15, I arrived at 2:04 and at 2:30 I asked how much longer the wait was because I wasn't sure if they forgot about me. They took me to a second waiting room where at 2:55 I asked the nurses how much longer it was going to be because I had been waiting for 40 min. She said she would speak to the doctor, I said thank you and returned to the waiting area. Five minutes later Dr. Pathikonda calls me and already looks annoyed. Before I even sit down she tosses files onto her… desk and begins to scold me by saying "all of these patients are before you but you are complaining so I HAVE to see you it is not fair to them". I was shocked at the awful attitude I was receiving from a doctor and that she was attempting to make me feel bad. I said excuse me where she repeated her previous statement at which point I stormed out of her office. I did not ask her to take me ahead of those patients, I was merely asking how much longer the wait was going to be and I must add that it was without an attitude when I did inquire. I am not sure if I am the first to experience this type of treatment or if all of her other patients feel this is acceptable behavior but I am shocked at how unprofessional and rude she is. I also do not think that anyone should have to wait 45 min for a scheduled appointment. The appointment was to review labs so it would have taken 5-10 minutes as opposed to treating me with such disrespect.

I have a hard time with this review because I love Dr. Pathikonda and her experience is obvious. She makes me feel so comfortable with my pregnancy, and treats me like an individual, not just another "pregnant woman". However, when I go into her office, the staff doesn't acknowledge you. There are loud TVs on in every room (when there are a high percentage of pregnant women prone to headaches, so this really confuses me), and that wouldn't be so bad but the wait time is pretty long so I'm stuck in there forever listening to it. The office staff are pretty overworked and it takes a while to get results. They don't usually call you to follow up or seem to communicate with one another about your needs. The doctor herself, though, is amazing. I've been in much nicer waiting rooms with much worse doctors, so it's just about where your priorities are.

Dr. Pathikonda has been my doctor for 13 years and she is wonderful. She is an excellent and caring doctor. I trust her knowledge and value her medical opinion.

I was very lucky to find this doctor 10 years ago when I was pregnant with my first son. She saved his life. I switched doctors at 5 months and the very first time she saw me, she was suspicious of my severe back pain. That day I was put in the hospital, possibly one more day and I would have given birth at 5 months. Because of her, I carried him to full term.
