Dr. Meg Anne Whelan, MD

Went in and said I think the medication is causing a particularly bad side effect. Dr. Whelan immediately dismissed that and me. Many medications were pushed. For the next few appointments she continued to be very dismissive. I knew I was right b/c when I got off the med, the symptoms magically went away. Then some time passed and she had forgotten me, but I had not forgotten her. When I mentioned the medication and the side effect, she totally agreed with me as if she had never said that before. The larger issue is that this practice takes on too many patients--way more than they can handle. Greed?

WOW!! First visit today and she is exactly what patients say - great listener, genuinely concerned about every aspect of your health and answers every question you have with patience and empathy. Will highly recommend to everyone I know. She is the whole package - professionally #1. To many positives to list. Thanks Dr. Whelan

Reasons why NOT to got to LeBauer Allergy: It takes 6 -8 months to get an appt, the billing manager was the meanest, rudest person to deal after I had to call him about a problem with my insurance paying, the office staff loudly asked me for money in front of a whole room of patients when I had a problem with my insurance - embarrassing me in front of my kids and other people.

Dr. Whelan is extremely professional and has help me with my allergies and asthma for 14 years (2001-now). The dramatic improvement in my health is a result of her being my allergist. She listens and advises - gives options and feedback, and has basically worked a miracle in my life - changing me from a suffering asthmatic to somebody who love to work and play outdoors. Thank you!

This doctor humiliated my nanny (who watched my kids for 3 years and was basically part of our family) when she took my kids for an appt. I understand she must abide by HIPPA but she said things to her like, "You are JUST the nanny, why aren't the parents here?" Well I will tell you why, we are both working and honestly this was the first appointment I ever missed due to an out of town work meeting. At the time she didn't have any kids so I guess she didn't understand how hard it is to balance life and work. Here's the real nerve this office has though. When I call to switch doctors they tell me I have to wait to see if the doctors approve it. REALLY? I thought I was making the decision of who I or my children will see. Healthcare is no different than buying anything else. Do your research and make a choice. Some medical offices don't seem to understand the idea of customer service, this IS one of them! Oh and I'm pretty sure no one escapes this office without doing the allergy… testing b/c it's a huge revenue generator.

Great bedside manner, caring, and knowledgeable with both children and adults.

Dr. Whelan is great...personable, friendly, good with an autistic kid, patient.Wish the same could be said of her office staff....clueless, lacking people skills, and generally incompetent.

She is very down-to-earth, very collaborative and wonderful with my daughter. When calling for an appt I have never been on hold for someone to pick up and they are courteous.

Is genuinely interested in the well-being of her patients...always has the best interests of the patient at heart...would recommend her without any reservations...one of the better doctors we have ever visited

Dr. Whelan really takes the time to talk about issues with the patient (and the parents). She has a fantastic bedside manner with our 5 year old.
