Dr. Megan Mayer

Dr. Mayer is absolutely amazing!! From beginning to end, she treated me with care, concern & kindness. She always provided me with all of my options, but never forcefully. I ended up needing hip surgery, and she explained the whole process thoroughly and gave me all the time I needed to answer any of my questions. Before, during and after the surgery, her team (especially Jordan) was amazing and quick to respond if I ever needed anything. While the recovery is a slow one, I’m happy to say the surgery was a huge success! If/when my other hip starts to act up, I will 100% go back to her! I’ll continue to send people her way to who need her specialized care.

Dr. Mayer did a fabulous job with my surgery. From the beginning she listened to my issue with my hip and did not blow me off. She understood my concerns and validated my pain. She went through all the steps to ensure an accurate diagnosis to my problem. Once we discovered that my labrum was in fact torn and beat up pretty bad, she did not hesitate to ask my opinion about surgery. She did not force any procedure on me and valued my opinion about what I wanted to do with my body. After thoroughly discussing what steps to take we landed on surgery being the best option. I got scheduled In a decent timely manner. Once the surgery was done I immediately felt the difference. She did note that after seeing inside my hip it was worse than previous thought. She corrected the issue and gave me more than adequate care. Her team gave me all the support I could have needed. The follow up visits were timely and I felt that I was heard every step of the process. I can't thank her enough for being… able to fix the issue. I am a person who likes to be on the go and as a nurse myself in need to be moving. Without her I would probably be worse off. I can't recommend her enough.

Dr. Mayer and her team have been nothing but amazing! She listens to what her patients are saying and provide all the options with her guidance. I felt so comfortable talking with her about where I was and my expectations of what I wanted post-surgery and she has made me feel better along the way. The surgery went incredible and post-surgery she had continued to offer the best follow up and care to make sure I am taken care of. I would recommend anybody at least go see Dr. Mayer to get her opinion, I promise you won't regret it.

pent 6 weeks in agony with hip pain. Referred by Primary Care Dr. to Dr. Mayer. First visit she was fantastic in identifying my problem, directing me on the best treatment and most importantly getting me to surgery to repair by right hip labrum as soon as possible. Surgery was outstanding and repair has been great. Dr. Mayer has a wonderful attitude and empathy to help her patients out with excellence. Highly recommended!!!

Dr. Mayer and her team have been great to work with since my first visit. She is always very thorough and answers any questions that I may have. I would highly recommend her to any of my friends and family.

Excellent experience. Dr. Mayer very easy to talk with and thoroughly discuss options. She clearly explained the range of treatment options, pros and cons of each, and the long term process. Shared recommendations and why, but did not push any option. Gave plenty of time and space for me to decide. Once the decision was made, she became an advocate and helped push back against insurance to get treatments approved. Clearly explained recovery process. She and her team were timely in answering questions. End result was a very successful treatment with full return to activities without pain.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Mayer to not only my family and friends but to anyone looking for orthopedic surgeon. She is very thorough. Explains everything in terms you understand. She listens and answers all your questions. Never in a rush to get you out the door. If you have to have a procedure done like I did, she explains everything she is going to do before she does it and goes step by step explaining what she’s going to do before she does it. Her bedside manner is off the charts! She goes up and beyond as any other doctor I’ve been to!

Dr. Mayer gave me my quality of life back. I am 38, I fell in Nov. 2017, hurting my left knee and hip. My knee got better with Physical Therapy but my hip got worse. I was handed over to Dr. Mayer for my hip. With discussion and trying other options. Surgery was the next option. She gave me my life back. I am so thankful for Dr. Mayer. I could not be happier with the decision for surgery.
