Megan Murphy, MD

Megan Murphy, MD, is a pediatric primary care provider who cares for children from birth through age 18. She provides care for a variety of acute and chronic conditions, including asthma, sports injuries, respiratory illnesses and feeding concerns. She also monitors development, offers resources for developmental delays and helps identify and treat mental health concerns. Megan feels a strong calling to help those who cannot help themselves. She strives to create an accepting, judgment-free space where patients and families feel heard and their concerns are fully addressed. She believes the relationship between a provider, a patient and the patient’s family is central to good care. Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Washington and Lee University in Virginia and her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She completed her pediatrics residency at LSU Health Science Center at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. She is a …member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.










Megan believes it is essential for the patient, family and provider to function as a team. She values family input and recognizes that parents and caregivers often know when something is wrong, even if they cannot fully describe it. Her care philosophy is rooted in listening closely, honoring families’ concerns and making sure every patient feels heard and supported.
