My sister was the patient of this doctor while hospitalized. He refused to speak us—just kept referring to the social worker as though we were too lowly for his time. He never communicated with her doctor either. Bottom line, he just didn’t care. He probably works five jobs he said he is the “doctor” at all of the hospitals in the area. What bothers me the most is that he kept saying he is an “expert” and has “been doing this for 30 years” when I asked about his medication choices. Well, when I looked him up, I found out that he isnt “board certified” in his field of psychiatry. You can look that up on the California medical board’s website and the American Neurology and psychiatry board too. He has a medical license but I guess he is such an “expert” that he didn’t didn’t need to take the exams required for that board certification that most other doctors have. I knew there was something off about him. What’s sad is that he still works with patients in these hospitals even… though he obviously isn’t liked or respected if you read reviews here and on healthgrades. I guess nobody cares or listens because the patients are psychiatric ones. Just sad. He gives all psychiatrists a bad name. He should not take care of the most voiceless patients. (And even senators were looking into his practice habits, if you google him, you’ll find his name as part of a list of top ten doctors who over prescribed certain medications which were being investigated. Can’t be good.

This guy is an overeducated quack that doesn't care about his patients. I asked to be placed in an outpatient day program for severe depression stemming from 8 years of physical disability and not being able to work. I was "too new a patient" for him to give me a referral. I'd need to come for 6 consecutive weeks at a copay of $30 (which I can't afford since I'm on disability ). Instead of asking more questions about my case and history he told me I was trying to play the system and said "see you in 2 months. " Don't waste your time.

At :"Turning Point" at Mission Community Hospital--not always M-F though other doctors there to cover. Kaiser's contractor at "Turning Point". As he manages those patients doctors have referred to "Turning Point"--and as there are 8 therapists--facilitators on rotation w patients--hard to judge his skills as therapists collectively do much of the observation and supervision..

I My appt was at 3:00 and I first got in to see this Dr at 4:20 pm. 1st visit was to be evaluation 45 minutes. I brought in all my records from prior doctor do to insurance change. He never sat down, never took a history of me, no file, looked down at me sitting on chair told me he did not care to see my prior meds list, just current when some of my prior ones were current until I ran out while looking for a psychiatrist. He never examined me and told me to come back in a month after giving me a Rx for 2 drugs I took 10 years prior that did not work. I told him this and he said he did not care, just take this medicine and we will check you in a month. 5 minutes is all I got. He is a quack. 1 hr and 20 minutes late and 5 minute interview. If you want to get worse, see him. Otherwise stay away from his entire group of phonies in his office at 17075 Devonshire, Northridge, ca. Office staff rude and crowed. Dirty office. They need to pull his license.

I would never choose this DR. or hospital (Pacifica Sun Valley). My son was placed here because there was no room in Pasadena. Most of the staff are so ignorant ( a very few are okay). Totally unorganized. You get a different view from any staff member. This Dr.MM is a joke! The lack of any help from a qualified Dr. is not here.

My mother was assigned to him during her stay at the psych unit as Sherman oaks hospital. She was there for 11days and not once did the doctor call the family for an update. On the 11th day the hospital called to tell us to pick her up. Still no call from the doctor. Her release paperwork was blank under follow up info. I left messages for this doctor during my motherâ??s stay and not once did he call. When asking the nurses at the hospital about him they said, yes he normally does not call the family. It was painful enough having to leave my mom in the psych unit but to get a doctor that did absolutely nothing for her during her stay of 11 days was infuriating.(No diagnosis, no update, no follow up info.) He should not be a doctor in my opinion.

I called 5 times in 2 weeks for prescription refills and never received a call back. I ran out of my prescriptions and had to seek out another physic ...
