Dr. Mehrdad Noorani

This was the most horrific experience at a doctors office I have ever had. I told this dentist that I had an unpleasant experience previously and I was very nervous for this visit but excited to start regularly going to the dentist. He proceeded to tell me that because of my insurance “he would do what he can”. And that “your insurance only pays me $36 of work for each side of mouth so don’t expect too much”. Why is a doctor talking to me about money with a tool in my mouth? I told him that since I was new to the insurance I would need to understand how many visits I would need and how much. He then proceeded to ask me “where my people where from”. I could quickly tell that this man was racially profiling me in the dentist chair. And clearly he was discriminating against me and my race. Regardless that I am from manhattan, I can afford my dental care, this dentist went out of his way to make me feel less than and a second class citizen. I strongly urge any black person or any person… in general from giving this medical practitioner any work whatsoever. I am deeply disrespected and will continue this claim elsewhere
