Dr. Meimin Xie, MD

Apparently thought I was exaggerating my symptoms, which lead to her being very unhelpful in regards to doing anything about them. Opted to not recommend an endoscopy because I had one 11 years ago. I'm pretty sure that things can change in that time frame, even before taking the recent dramatic increase in the severity of my symptoms into account. She did go ahead and schedule a colonoscopy since it would be recommended next year anyway. However, whereas the patient waiting in the spot next to me had a doctor who went at least moderately in depth in to what was going to happen, follow-up care, and when results might be available, Dr. Xie did virtually none of that. I will admit she asked if I had any questions, but as someone with severe medical anxiety I was unable to articulate any (I had made her aware of my issues in the first visit). Concerning results were sent in a very brief form letter with no further information. I'll be seeking a second opinion from someone else.
