Dr. Ross S Kendall, MD

In 1981 we met Dr.Ross Kendall at the ER in Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma, WA. He diagnosed our daughter with Leukemia and She was his first catastrophic disease patient. Dr.Kendall is the very Best and we thank God for him. Thank you Dr.Kendall! Those were some tough years and today we are sincerely blessed ! Kim says to send her love. Was referred to Dr Kendall by primary physician. Found him to be disorganized and forgetful. Prescription directions did not indicate that it was to be refilled. Consequently, my child was re-hospitalized. Even his nurses and office staff said his was "flakey".

I was a patient of Dr. Kendall's when I was a child, 26 years ago. He diagnosed me with Ulcerative colitis (which was correct); however, after that, whenever I would have a flare up and my parents would call his office, his advice was invariably 'Let's wait and see for a couple of days before we start any medication, it might just be something he ate'. Then, he would make a point of mentioning to my parents during office visits that 'Parents who don't take care of their children have them taken away'. While Dr. Kendall was my pediatric gastroenterologist, I had frequent flare ups, and was on prednisone, with doses as high as 60mg per day for weeks to months at a time. I was hospitalized twice for flare ups of my colitis (2 weeks the first time, 1 week the second time), due to extreme dehydration and blood loss. During one office visit, he performed an unscheduled flexible sigmoidoscopy, with no explanation to myself or my parents as to why. In the past 26 years of living with my… disease, I have never been as sick, or had my care as mismanaged as I did with this doctor. I have dealt with multiple specialists in multiple medical fields, in 4 different states, and I can honestly say that he is the worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. A well informed parent or guardian should check medical records in other states before considering allowing Dr. Ross Kendall to manage their child's care

It's been years since I was told I would die never to see adulthood and just to let you know and remember Mr. Kendall I am here still beating the odds. I think about you from time to time and remember your kindness and your teniss shoes. You got a special gift about bringing a smile to a torn heart. With out your good spirits I I don't know if my mother could have been as strong as she was when I needed her most. I am 32 years old now my liver is slightly elevated than the normal bit is to be expected from what I went through as a child. I love to live life..... Thanks.

Doctor asked about 5 question then said that my son had irritable bowel syndrome no tests at all asked how he could tell by spending this short of a time and asking a fue question.Doctor was very arrogant. End of visit now pay $314.00 Would NOT RECOMMEND HIM AT ALL .

I like his level of knowledge, and he's methodical and thorough in determining a diagnosis without putting my child through unneeded stressful tests as other drs. wanted to do. His nurse is very helpful too, and you don't have to wait for an appt. You're seen within minutes of your scheduled time unless an emergency arises. Office staff is usually very nice, but I had a problem with them at last visit. They insisted I owed a balance for a test that was supposedly duplicated. However, test was only performed once and I provided proof when I returned home and called them, but I've yet to receive an apology for their obvious mistake.

My son developed sepsis after some horese doctors dumped him. Dr. Kendall saved my son's life. While he at times was not the primary doctor giving the care, he made sure that my son had the best doctors and was involved in overseeing of care. He was always available no matter when I called him. He was compassionate and honest if he made a mistake. If he was not sure about a decision on care, he consulted with other doctors. He is a very humble, caring doctor.

Dr. Kendall can and won't listen to you as a parent. He is more interested in imparting his wisdom from on high. It boggles my mind that this guy is a pediatric gastroenterologist that can't listen to a child's parent... when we know our children best. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I was very pleased with Dr. Kendall and his office staff. I had an insurance problem and the office manager helped me to resolve it. Nurses were nice and friendly and Dr Kendall took time with my daughter who was very nervous.

Called this morning and the other review about the office manager is correct. You may have a great deal of difficulty trying to get information from her and she is very short. It does not take much for her to get flustered and then her cooperation with you goes out the window. I would reccommend Dr. Kendall as he is patient and does discuss thing well. I do, however, second the other rating that says watch out for the office manager.
