Dr. Melanie M Chaputa-Cherry, MD

Dr. Cherry is absolutely tops. Besides being knowledgeable, compassionate and medically up to date, she's always ready to inform herself in everything the patient needs provide what the patient needs even if it's not specifically related to Ob-GYN, (That's how doctors always used to be - not compartmentalized.) This allows her to know the whole patient medically and as a person. This allows her to arrive at holistic diagnoses and recommendations, which treat the patient as a complete human being. I remember unhappily the orthopod I saw for a broken ankle. He refused to answer related questions about my spine and other problems with the same leg, saying that would require two extra appts. (With ~2 hr. wait time apiece!) His refusal to inform himself about related aspects of the injury led to an added round of. physical therapy because the therapeutic boot he prescribed aggravated my spinal issues. What's more, failing to take into consideration my "foot drop" on the… same side as the fracture, prevented me from carrying out most of the PT exercise! He is the disgraceful opposite of Dr. Cherry. The only extra wait time seeing her may entail, is inevitably because she's giving her previous patient all the attention she requires. I've been seeing her for almost thirty years and. much as I know she needs a break, I dread her retiring!

Excellent doctor

Sure, she has wait time. And what doctor as caring and knowledgeable as she is, wouldn't? She gives her patients as much time as they need, no matter what.And needless to say, when it's your turn, you'll get whatever you need, however complex. And without ever feeling she's "too busy".That is, IF you're lucky enough to call her your doctor. That is to say, she hasn't been taking new patients in forever, precisely because of her dedication.
