Dr. Melanie Joannow, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Joannow for the past 12 years. I was eleven when I started seeing her. My mom was under her care and had just passed away. I got sick and I needed a doctor and since I was familiar with her from my mother and sister, I agreed to visit her. Ever since she has been nothing short of amazing. She is very compassionate, and remembers all of her patients on a personal level. When I was a teenager I developed an eating disorder and when Dr. Joannow was alerted she had me come to her office just to sit and talk for an hour. During this time she not only helped me find a place to receive proper treatment, but also acted as therapist trying to understand the root of my problem, and reminding me that I'm beautiful. It is a privilege to have her as my physician - there isn't anyone quite like her.

Heartfelt and takes time with the patients.

Dr. Joannow schedules enough time to discuss all medical issues. She is highly compassionate but will be very straightforward. Her diagnosis are very accurate and she will make the time to see you. There should be more Doctor's like her.

The most dedicated Dr. I have ever met. She is a Dr. with a heart! Very difiicult to find a Dr. who actually has integrity and fights for the patient and the patients rights. I wouldn't want any other Doctor if I had a choice highly recommend this Physician! Exceptional!! Five S*T*A*R*S*!!!

I only saw her 2 times and this is my experience with her. She was very nice on my first visit with her last year. However, my 2nd and last visit didn't go so well. She hardly looked at me when I asked her questions and she seemed annoyed of the questions I asked her. When I had blood work done, she refused to even mail me out a copy of my results cuz she wanted me to retake a protein test cuz it was a little high. I nicely told her I can't cuz my insurance will not cover for another blood work and if she can do something else for me about the problem. She sounded angry when I told her and then said to me do whatever you want then. That was the end of her. Very rude, arrogant, and uncaring. Now I know she's only for the money and not caring about her patients health.

Dr. Joannow takes the time to listen, explain and discuss options when necessary. She's down to earth and treats everyone with respect. She is also very knowledgeable and takes her time. She never makes you feel rushed. All around, she's a hard find and someone i would recommend highly to anyone in need of a primacy care physician

I gathered that she gossips a lot and is quite nosey about my and other people's lives.

Very accurate, very competent. Very caring and very knowledgeable. Gives sound advice...Im very happy with her as my physician.

Big attitude problem and does not treat customer with care. When I gave her my stats, she said, I can read your chart.
