If you enjoy a doctor that makes you feel insignificant, is short in their responses, rolls their eyes at you while showing little to no interest while being passive and overall condescending, THIS IS THE DOCTOR FOR YOU!! It is extremely sad that someone can spend several years to become a doctor just to seem miserable and dismissive towards their patients.

Dr. Nakamura is by far the best doctor I have ever had. She has successfully treated some issues I had been dealing with that no other doctor could. I hope to have her for a long time. Never want to change. She listens carefully and is quick to find solutions. I would recommend her without hesitation.

We gave this doctor the benefit of the doubt with her 'problems' for almost two years and it simply never got better. Then... Wife has infection for months. Nakamura stated because she has no blood in the urine she has no kidney stones (no ct scan ordered). 4 months later wife passes 5mm stone, kidney blocked, legs and feet filled with toxins. My wife could not walk to the bathroom! Her blood pressure was elevated because of the infection. Doctor gives her blood pressure medicine. Masked the real problem. Ended up in emergency room. Wrote letter explaining problem and pleading to dr. Nakamura to ensure it does not happen again. She has her receptionist call and state she no longer wants us as patients. No personal call, no apology. No efforts to correct the problem. If you like watching your doctor stare at her laptop with no eye contact or personal care for your well being, this is the unprofessional doctor for you. You will also enjoy her constant eye rolling and sighing at your… concerns. If you do get a flu shot... she just might treat you better.! Worst ever.... All this lady does is look at your current lab results and treats you from there. Has no care or concern for your past history. STAY AWAY!!!!!

I’ve never written a review about a doctor in my life. I had to go to Dr. Nakamura because for 2 years I was on Medi Cal. I completely agree with all the bad reviews about her. She is cold and aloof and dismissed every concern I brought up. I showed her a spot I had and she pretty much just laughed and said it’s nothing. I knew it was most definitely something so I got off Medi Cal so I could see a good gynecologist and turns out it’s a pre cancer lesion that will turn into cancer if not immediately removed. Find a different doctor who takes your health and your concerns seriously.

I don't understand all the poor reviews. Yes I did find her a little aloof at my first visit with her. Since then She has seemed much warmer. I find her very qualified and I receive excellent care from her. I think part of the problem is that the majority of people at neighborhood healthcare are on medical and she is limited on what test she cam order that will be paid for

I established care with Dr. Nakamura and chose her as my primary physician. To say I was less than pleased is an understatement. She was very cold and short. She would ask me questions in a very vague manner, and so when i would answer, she would roll her eyes like she was annoyed and then clarify. I raised some concerns about a lump on my jaw, and she said "Well, i don't feel anything though so you're probably fine." This first visit with her also happened to be a follow up after I went in ten days prior for painful tonsils. I was incorrectly diagnosed with strep, and given penicillin. I felt no change...and Dr. Nakamura simply stated that it takes 4 weeks sometimes for infection to go away. No one did a swab or anything. It was clear she did not want to be there and wanted me in and out. Never. again.

I've seen may doctors, I have never had anything bad to say however I had the absolute worst experience with dr melani n. She doesn't care about patients at all and misdiagnosed me multiple times. The office at 460 north elm st is basically my worst nightmare

If being placed on hold for what feels like an eternity, this doctor and staff are for you. Melanie will not bowl you over with her care and concern in regards to your symptoms. My insurance company was billed for services that were not performed. Not happy with this person at all. You been warned.
