Dr. Melanie Tara Smith, MD

Saw Dr. Smith for dizziness. Diagnostic test seem to confirm BPPV. Was given a hearing test, which had nothing to do with my symptoms, but is covered by Medicare. Dr. Smith spoke to me for about 5 minutes, most of which was trying to sell me hearing aids. Returned the following day for an Epley maneuver performed by the audiologist, and designed to alleviate the BPPV. Was to call in one week to report results. I told the staff that the dizziness was somewhat abated, but still there. Never heard back from the doctor or audiologist. Called again about 2 weeks later and was told one would call me back. Never heard back from either. I guess they figured they got all from Medicare they were going to get.

I am so glad I went to see Dr. Smith. I had an issue with my throat and tried to get in quickly with different clinics but no ENT could see me right away. Dr. Smith was recommended by two other physicians in town so that gave me confidence in the wait to see her. On my second appointment they were able to get me in right away due to time sensitivity with my throat issue. Dr. Smith diagnosed quickly without having to run a bunch of other diagnostic tests and she recommend a plan for me. My surgery experience was amazing and post operatively I have seen amazing results from having it done. Thank you to Dr. Smith and her staff for taking such great care.

Brought my very sick daughter to see this doctor and was berated and told I was a horrible mother for suggesting my daughter needed surgery. Then proceeded to describe the surgery in front of my then 8 year old child. After 2 years and many illnesses later, she was seen by a real doctor and had the surgery she needed years ago. This is one of the worst doctors I have ever been to and I would never recommend her to my worst enemy.
