Meliha Hrustanovic-Kadic, MD

Dr. Meliha Hrustanovic-Kadic is a pulmonary critical care specialist who cares for patients suffering from injuries and diseases of the respiratory or pulmonary system. Dr. Hrustanovic-Kadic is trained to manage complex, life-threatening respiratory issues and multi-system failure.

“I strive to be a doctor my patients trust,” she says. “I believe in the importance of a good bedside manner, communication skills, advocacy, empathy and honesty when caring for patients.” She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families while helping them improve their quality of life.

Although she is a native of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Hrustanovic-Kadic and her family consider Kentucky as their home. She earned her medical degree and completed an internal medicine residency at University of Louisville School of Medicine. She then completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical-care medicine at VCU Health System.
