Dr. Melinda Elizabeth Gibson, MD

16 years ago in Detroit, this awful doctor delivered my daughter. She was rude, condescending and judgmental. Even years later, I remember this horrible woman who said some terrible words to me. Read the reviews by other women on here. I’m not the only one.

She was the only doctor who has ever caused Bleeding during every pap exam, she appeared to enjoy it. I was a young mother and she was always terribly disrespectful and judgmental toward me. She was always very cold. I would even go as far as to say that I was afraid of her. She delivered my son who is now 23 years old and as you can see I'm still left with horrible memories of this awful doctor. She was my doctor in Detroit Mi. I feel sorry for her patients and if patients read the reviews, please choose better for yourself. I was young and I was assigned to her at my clinic. At the time I did not know that I had choices. After seeing her I would always think, why is she a doctor if she hates it so much.

I was 38 years old and considered high risk during my pregnancy. Dr Gibson was very thorough and had me screened for all tests. She was very excellent in her communication with me. She always made me feel comfortable and stressed free. I'm proud to say I had a healthy son who just turned 6 years old a week ago. Great job Dr Gibson!!! 5 Stars from me!

In the begining I didn't really pay much attention to this doctor not having any manners. What bothered me was that for EVERY appt I had with her, I had to wait at least 45 for her to come into the exam room. She made me induce my labor even though I wasn't in anylife threatning position, only because se believed my baby would be big(because it was a third child). Btw my son was 7lbs 5oz at birth. The induction of the labor caused placenta retention, which caused major hemmorrage 8 weeks postpartum. Because of it, I lost 2 units of blood in a matter of 5 minutes, and was rushed to a local ER to have an immediate d&c procedure. I could have died!!! This all hpened because of the carelessness of this doctor! She is BAD!

I agree with the last lady about having no bedside manners my daughter is terrified of ever having a baby again. Not fair for a first time mother to go through... She was absolutly disrespectful, rude, and absolutely not understanding!!!

My daughter see's her at Holy Cross Hospital. I guess because my daughter is a pregnant teen, Dr. Gibson feels as if she can speak to her disrectfully. She is very unprofessional and not very considerate of other's time and feelings.

I love this Doctor she really cares and takes the time to listen to your concerns.She is the best docctor I have ever seen. She delivered two of my children.
