Dr. Melinda Marie Martin, MD

Dr. Martin’s diligence in prompting me to come in for an exam immediately when I felt no hurry probably saved my life. A biopsy showed stage 3 aggressive uterine cancer still contained. Had I waited it could have metastasized to other organs. Dr. Martin went above and beyond what was expected of her and I will foerever be grateful.

I am in my 40s, have a governmental job, I am a mother of two, no history of drug use; yet I wasn't able to receive pain medication for terrible terrible menstrual craps. I asked for no more than six pills per month. She was more concerned with her license/practice, than the outcome of her patience's comfort. This should be an non-issue for a person of my age, stature, and history of painful cycles. She prescribed me a pain medication that she felt comfortable giving me (non-narcotic, I suppose), and I tried it. I reported back that it made me very sleepy, but I could take it at night; however, needed something to function during the day. She said she took it herself and had no drowsiness, as though I was lying. I got home from that appointment and googled the side effects to find the top five, common side effects are indeed drowsiness. I lost a lot of trust that day with her. When trying to refill that, it was denied with no reason. She also requires unnecessary follow-up visits… that could have instead been a five-minute phone call. I can only imagine that she can't bill a patient for a phone call, but can make a few hundred an hour when a patient has to come in and talk with her for 10 minutes. Sorry to be so harsh, but keep in mind I'm holding back a lot of the discussion; including the unsettling, political statements that she started without invitation. If you are faith based (as there's often Christian music playing in the lobby), and an opinionated right-wing, conservative, and don't need medication, this is the place for you. I'm in need of a new women's health doctor, as I'll NOT be going to her again. I wish her well, but I don't need to support her practice anymore.

She is a god send. Saving my granddaughter the way she did. She knows what she’s doing. Nothing but good comes out of this wonderful person.

I'm nearly 27 years old, have moved all over the country and even to parts of Europe and have never had a regular OBGYN that I truly liked or felt comfortable with; until now. Dr. Melinda Martin has made me feel more comfortable and more at ease than I thought was possible. As a person who has suffered sexual trauma in the past, it means the world to me that she not only remembers me and my situation when she sees me, but never, ever seems the least bit agitated or put out by catering to my needs. She's always so warm and kind with her words and expectations and I'm extremely grateful to find myself as one of her clients. Thank you Dr. Martin! You're a wonderful soul!

Dr. Martin is very knowledgeable and personable. I have always received an outstanding level of care from this office. They have gone above and beyond whenever necessary to ensure myself and my babies were taken care of.

Dr Melinda Martin is an angel sent from above. She and her staff are truelly Amazing. I live In GILBERT AZ and travel to PRESCOTT to see her. In my opinion shes the best OBGYN out there. Words can't even come close to express my appreciation of Dr Melinda Martin and her staff. Just truelly Amazing!!!

Dr Martin is a fantastic. She has a sense of urgency when her patients need her and goes above and beyond to understand what her patients are going through.

Save yourself a serious headache and a lot of money DO NOT use Dr. Martin. Read reviews their are a lot of bad ones for good reason!!!

Dr. Martin-Guess is as good as you can get. She even gave me her home email address if I needed anything. She definitely goes above and beyond! Her staff is just as good.

I moved to Prescott a couple of years ago and went to Dr. Martin-Guess office after being recommended by my friend who is a nurse at YRMC. Dr. Martin-Guess' office staff is one of the friendliest and nicest group of people I have ever met. Dr. Martin-Guess is VERY knowledgable, caring, and answered all my questions. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. B-T-W- I first went to another clinic in prescott and HATED it! Too many doctors, grumpy staff - felt like I was at a "cattle call"!
