Dr. Melinda Beth Rupp, MD

Worst OBGYN I’ve ever been to. Not only does Dr Rupp make you feel like you’re an inconvenience but she will also milk you for every dime she can get by making you feel like something is wrong so you have to keep coming back over and over again for no reason. She estimated me at 8 weeks when I called for an appointment when it wasn’t that far along she kept having me come back every week for ultrasounds and “visits” so she could get more money. At these “visits” she’d pop in say you need another appointment next week and make you feel like something is wrong. She also, even if you have a pregnancy show up on an ultrasound and every blood test not count them as prenatal appointments until she can give you a due date to milk you for even more money. She’s a crappy doctor I should have listened to people when they said to stay far away from her practice. I switched as soon as I hit 8 weeks and she turned into a total lunatic then there were issues with my bill and I was told they wouldn’t… fix them because I switched doctors and they waited weeks to send my records to my new doctor. STAY FAR AWAY FROM HER!! She’s been kicked out a practices for years and people refuse to work with her for a reason. She botched a hysterectomy on someone I know and then she blamed them. She’s a malpractice suit waiting to happen.

I needed my exam for upcoming surgery or I would have left. Coronavirus is on the rise and she allows staff and patients to come in without a mask. Every day we hear it is airborne. And why are people other than the patient in the office? They did ask if I wanted them to wear a mask but patients and their family members didn‘t. The nurse took me into a very small room that made social distancing impossible and closed the door. When I asked her to put the mask on properly and keep her nose in it, she snapped that she had to do this for me, not for her. The doctor had that same nurse stand behind me during my exam with her mask improperly worn. There are 130,000 people dead and a Doctor puts people at risk like this!? And they knew I was going into surgery. If I get the virus, I know where I got it. Wearing a mask is not political it is about caring for others and this doctor and nurse don‘t.

I was able to see Dr. rupp easily enough. She seemed nice at first but going over her Obstetrics policies was almost signing my rights and my unborn baby’s rights to the devil. She turned cold and uncaring in a heartbeat when I offered any resistance or questioned her rules. She required that I come to OB visits without my spouse. Limited the amount of people that could attend the birth to the nurses and doctors she chose. I understand needing your crew but a stressed mother who may need a companion cannot have a relaxed birth. I was required to meet with a social services agent at every appointment who insinuated domestic abuse at every chance. I’d been to three previous ob/gyn none of whom forced me to sign away all rights to my child’s birth. Dr. Rupp cares nothing about her patients comfort, just her own rules. She makes no accommodations for extenuating circumstances. She’s a cold and controlling doctor unless you follow her desires.

Did not listen to me as a patient in a high risk situation.

She's awesome.

I can not even imagine her being any of the negative things/personality people have portrayed her to be, She is a awesome provider and made me feel at ease throughout my pregnancy which had its ups and downs.

I have been Dr Rupp's patient for over 5 years. She was always very polite and easy to talk to during my annual visits. Once I got pregnant and started coming for my prenatal visits all of my questions were always answered and any concerns I had were addressed. When I was 32 weeks pregnant I had to be hospitalized because of preeclampsia. The doctor who admitted me (Dr Rupp was on vacation) didn't wait for my husband to arrive and told me that i might have to deliver the baby in a day, which didn't help with the BP issues.... However when Dr Rupp returned she reassured me that she will monitor my blood work and keep an eye on all symptoms. I ended up coming in 2 x week for 3 weeks with a non-stress test and US at each visit to monitor the baby. I ended up having the baby 5 weeks early with no complications. When I had my second baby 13 months later Dr Rupp made arrangements to come in and deliver my daughter even thou she wasn't on call that night and her husband who is also a… Dr WAS on call. It meant so much to me to have someone that I was familiar with delivering my daughter... That shows me that she really cares about her patients. All of the girls in our family have Dr Rupp for their OBGYN and she delivered 5 babies between myself and my sister and sister-in-laws and we never had any problems... in fact we can only say the best about her.... I would recommend Dr Rupp to anyone and always have.

Dr. Rupp was absolutely horrible. I waited an hour to see her and she gave me 6 minutes of her time. Her nurse was as cold as she was. Terrible bedside manner. Discredited all of my symptoms and made me feel like a fool. Wish I never met her. Huge waste of time and money. Would never recommend this woman.

After I turned 30, my body started to change a lot. I went in with specific questions about my metabolism, weight gain, etc. All I managed to get out was "I've gained about 10 pounds and I haven't been able to lose it" I did not have time to get one question out when she immediately cut me off and started berating me in front of her medical student. She told me "You're FINE. You'll get your period and pee it all away afterwards. You should just be happy you're not obese or in a wheel chair. A lot of other people have much bigger problems than YOU do." She was visibly irritated with me for wasting her time by trying to ask about it. I have never been yelled at like that for bringing up a health concern to a doctor. I left and cried in my car. I was so upset not only that her student might think that this is acceptable, but that she would only consider someone unhealthy if they're to the point of needing a wheelchair. I paid her to help me, and she did anything but that. I'm… still upset that she got paid to treat me that way.

I have had very positive informative visits with Dr. Rupp. Very friendly and kind bed side manner. Happy to have her as my OBGYN could not imagine ever changing dr's
