Dr. Melis Okyar Sener, MD

Dr. Sener is an excellent doctor. When she sees a problem concerning your well being, she will always send you to a specialist. She has an excellent bed-side manner. GREAT GREAT

Dr. Sener is a very caring person and is concerned about my health. She listens to me and is kind in her approach towards me. She applies the best care regarding my chronic conditions.

Sometimes, we as patients do not do what we should and then blame the doctor. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Dr. Sener. Some of my problems are that I did not follow her instructions exactly, but I am attempting to resolve that with myself. I work at a hospital and see patients become so beligerant with the staff. The end result is you as the patient and/or care giver are responsible for your life, not your doctor. Follow instructions, live a healthier lifestyle and come to the office prepared. Write things down. The 2 negative e-mails for Dr. Sener should stop blaming her for something she probably either had no control over or was a mistake she did not mean to make. She is only human.

Dr. Sener spent very little time being attentive during my annual visit which was my first time seeing Dr. Sener. I experience the same during a follow up visit and a urgent care visit. I felt rushed when speaking to the doctor, she was in prep mode to leave the room and move along to her next patient, yet unsuccessful with asking enough question or appropriate questions concerning my visit. This makes me concern that she could miss or overlook medical symptoms. There was absolutely no doctor and patient connection. As of today she is no longer my primary physician.

Until yesterday Dr. Sener was my mother's primary care provider. On yesterday's visit, a follow up to brain surgery: 1.Dr Sener failed to listen to my mom or ask appropriate questions;2.Dr Sener spent most of the little time she gave my mom attempting to make blame her failure to correctly identify my mother's illness, order CT-Scans or MRIs on my 79 year mother; and,3. Finally, and most terrifyingly, though Dr Sener was given a copy of my mother's hospital discharge orders which include a recommendation that she take Percocet for post-surgery pain, Dr Sener's written instructions to my mother included instructions to take both Ambien and Valium--all of which could have added up to a comma cocktail. Please do not trust your loved ones to this careless woman.

I've always enjoyed Dr. Sener, and am thankful to your website for helping me find her after the previous practice split up! She's a wonderful and caring physician. I would highly recommend her especially to women looking for a new physician.
