Wish I had read these reviews before I saw Melisa Estes today! The reviews are accurate--bad attitude, patronizing and rushed. She and her assistant could not even properly write orders for additional scans--I went back into the office three times before I had correct orders. Plus, the doctor ordered a nuclear medicine bone scan, duplicating what had already been done BECAUSE she did not read the reports/CD's I brought in. Shockingly awful. PS: I went to Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute because I thought they were the only orthopaedic show in Palm Beach County. Don't make the same mistake I did

Totally impersonal and yes, as another reviewer so clearly wrote, it felt like an "ORTHOPEDIC FACTORY!" Dr. Estes is very dismissive and has no time to greet you in a friendly and empathic manner. Too busy or simply not interested?

Normally I see Dr. Hinson, but he was booked. I saw Dr. Estes instead. I have a possible rib fracture. She ordered an x-ray. Come to find out, x-rays don't show fractures. She rushed me out, but gave me a script for a cat scan, because they don't do them in their office. When I made the appointment for it, the radiologist said it wasn't written properly to capture the rib! When I called the Dr office to get that straightened out, they also wouldn't help to expedite the insurance info for being medically necessary to have it done. Now I have to wait more days to find out why my pain is worsening. Why would a Dr order x-rays, knowing that a cat scan was what I needed to begin with, then rush me out, then write the wrong script, and then not do what they could do on their end to expedite getting a cat scan? Unbelievable!

I found Dr Estes to be professional, caring and thorough. She asked direct questions and listened carefully to the answers. She fully explained the diagnosis and treament options. I was very much at ease and comfortable during this visit. I will definitely recommend her to my family and friends.

Dlr. Estes and the office generally are the most impersonal that I have ever experienced. I felt I was in an orthopedic factory. Not one person, including the doctor, told me their name or made eye contact. I felt rushed and brushed aside.

I found Dr. Melissa Estes to be the rudest doctor I have encountered in years. She has a very nasty disposition and does not listen to the patient. She may be highly educated, but it was like talking to a wall. Complete waste of time and money. Prior to my visit, I read other reviews that state the same views. I should have paid closer attention. Absolutely the worst experience!

My mom went to go see Dr. Melisa Estes for a pain that started to hinder her ability to use her left arm. These symptoms occurred from one day to another, so rightfully so, she was worried and nervous when she went to go see Dr. Estes. Instead of practicing compassion and empathy, Dr. Estes treated her as though Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute was a revolving door of patients and she just wanted to get her appointment over with. After a terrible experience of seeing her in person, once my mom received her MRI results, Dr. Estes called her and rushed through the results and did not give my mom any time to ask questions or to even ask if she understood the results. I would highly recommend seeing another specialist that isn't as cold and unpleasant as Dr. Estes was.

I took my 97 year old neighbor to see Dr Estes today and was mortified by the way she treated her. She asked me to write this for her. She was rude in a rush and treated her as if she were stupid. This brilliant women spoke up and said what is wrong with people I’m in so much pain I just want to know what’s going on. She never apologized and my friend and I left feeling that this Dr. Maybe better suited for another profession. Her nurse Grace was wonderful and tried to smooth things over. I am now afraid that she won’t seek follow up treatment. What a shame.

After 3 weeks of intense back pain and lots of tests, I was told I was facing spinal surgery. My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Melisa Estes. The office staff were quick, polite and professional. Dr. Estes pulled up my MRI pictures and frame by frame reviewed them with me pin pointing my exact problems informing me that surgery was not in my immediate future. With pin point accuracy, Dr. Estes addressed my terrible pain. What a difference! Not sure if this will take one appointment or a couple, but I am finally in the perfect place with this professional, caring and amazing doctor. Thank you Dr. Melissa Estes!
