Melisa Lynn Biskup Lott, DO

I didn't love how my first appointment with MFM was on a video call - it did not feel very personal at all.. Especially at such a sensitive time. I did not have a good experience with Dr. Lott and I would not recommend her. There were multiple things in my clinical note that she did not go over (my husband was present as well and can attest to this). When I sent her a myG msg asking her about it, she said that she did review them and I know for a fact that she did not. She said she uses different terminology when talking to patients than she does in her clinical note. I am in the medical field and I would know what she meant both ways - so she definitely did not go over everything that was documented - which is concerning to me since it is a legal document. She did not go over the risks of amniocentesis. She mentioned the procedure, I declined right away, and she said okay. It Is still her job to go over the risks and benefits even If I decline. She did not talk about daily fetal kick… counts. She did not inform me that I would deliver at 38 weeks. She did not talk about the risk of stillbirth (she said she termed it as "losing the baby" - but she didn't. I would DEFINITELY remember that!). She also didn't seem like she cared much and was not very personable. It honestly sounded like she was reading a script and it was very calculated. She did not make either of us feel comfortable at such a sensitive time.

Dr Lott is the best, she guided me thru my risky pregnancy with so much care and compassion. I felt I was in very good hands and she made me feel peace at times when I was worried. She is very knowledgeable and caring and personal, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her 100%.
