Dr. Melissa Bagloo, MD, FACS, FASMBS

I have never met a more caring and compassionate physician then Dr. Bagloo. She listens intently to what her patients are saying and then applies her education and experience to diagnose & treat the ailment set before her. She not only excels at patient communication, but her surgical skills are bar none. Her expertise as a surgeon is well documented and her cut to close is done with such perfection that her patients are completely elated at the result. I know this as I was fortunate enough to have my gastro surgical procedure by her. She kept me informed and allowed me to have way less stress than I have had during surgeries from other surgeons. Her office staff is beyond reproach, Amee, Ins. Specialist, Amy, Nurse Practitioner, Pedro, Medical Assistant, Meredith, Registered Dietician, Karen Office Manager, Jackie Patient Coordinator, Gina and Estefany, the Customer Service Specialist. Every single one of them are amazing and they excel at their jobs. I will recommend this office.

She and her staff are the best. They take their time with you and really care about you as a person.

Dr Bagloo has operated on me several times and there is no one that I would trust with my health and life then her. She will explain the procedure that she is going to perform on you, why you need it all in terms that someone in the medical field can understand. Once the operation is done her followup care is great. She makes me feel like she actually cares for my well being and never gives up on me and helps to motivate me to my heath goals. If it wasn't for Dr. Bagloo I am not sure I would be alive but I am sure she has made me much healthier, and happier because of it. About the office staff, they are the best at getting what you need to get the procedures covered by you insurance. They are very honest at explaining what you need to do, and then most of it requires some work on your part but they are there to help you until it is approved.

My wish is that everyone struggling with weight loss be given the gift my daughter was given. After visiting a Hackensack, NJ group, gathering information, and then visiting their office, my daughter and I realized that surgery was her "way out" of the endless cycle of dieting and gaining. She also realized that this Hackensack office was a factory with too much noise and confusion. When my daughter found Dr. Melissa Bagloo, a sense of calm and direction took over. Dr. Bagloo's office is quiet, organized, and efficient. Each staff member takes a special interest in each patient, whether there for a consult, a pre-op appointment or post op appointment. I saw a true sense of direction and, yes, excitement come over my daughter. Dr. Bagloo is a gift. She is extremely well trained, very personal, and, has a warm and loving spirit. Each surgical patient becomes "one of her own" and she takes tremendous pride in each patient's success. There were many pre-surgical appointments… required to determine if my daughter was a candidate for the gastric sleeve surgery. Dr. Bagloo's office efficiently coordinated all the documents, then handled the ever-so-tedious submittal to insurance for approval. Surgery was a bit frightening, as it should be, but, Dr. Bagloo made my daughter feel secure and in safe hands. I felt extremely confident that we had selected the right doctor and the right hospital. My daughter's care was unbelievable at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Each nurse deserves a note of thanks. Ten days after surgery, my daughter was back to work, feeling fabulous, and losing weight. Dr. Bagloo's on staff nutritionist continually overseas the first few months of my daughter's meal requirements. She is always available, and always helpful. It is three weeks post-surgery now, and my daughter has lost over 25 lbs. Thank you to our new friend, Dr. Melissa Bagloo, for offering my daughter a new healthy life style. Often people write reviews tainted with frustration, anger, inpatience. Many times, reviews are written without the understanding of their consequences. As you read the few "unattractive" reviews of Melissa Bagloo, prospective patients must remember that they must be their own advocates, and do their research. Prospective patients must be prepared to ask the right questions and be mindful of the answers, particularly concerning our new world of confusing insurance regulations. My response to those few uninformed reviewers is you have missed out on the road to good health. You have missed out on a truly excellent physician. Dr. Bagloo is truly a special gift.

In 2010 I decided it was time to consider Bariatric Surgery I first went to a seminar in Hackensack Hospital I was there for one hour and I received a doctor and the date of my surgery. After that I sat down with somebody who checked out my insurance. Then from that point I decided Hackensack wasn't for me. There was about 60 people at the seminar and we were all treated the same way. After that it took me a while to build up courage to try it again. Approximately two months later I decided to try Valley Hospital I was told the doctors were from Columbia out of New York at that time I called for the next seminar .A few weeks later. I attended a seminar given by Dr. Melissa Bagloo I was very impressed with this young doctor there was no pressure she was well prepared I received a lot of information . The following day I made an appointment with their office to sit down with someone to discuss what procedure would be suitable for me and to go over my insurance plan . At… that time I sat down with Dr. Bagloo and my wife and had a list of questions. What impressed me was after all my questions were answered the doctor asked me what Dr. I would like to perform the procedure . I stood there for a minute in shock and answered you of course . It's been over three years since my surgery 135 pounds lighter I am one happy guy . I'm not going to say it wasn't a long road I had some medical issues that my doctor took care of before surgery.I won't ever forget what Dr.Bagloo said to me in Her office. Trust Me I will not clear you for surgery until I am sure there will be no complications . Dr.Bagloo left no stone unturned.she made sure my health came first. As I read some comment, that they had problems with the office staff,I have not had any problems as I know many other patients of this office felt the same. The end result was very happy,and I have not had any problems related to my surgery.infact the health issues I had prior have decreased.Dr.Bagloo has stood by me as well as her staff.thank you Dr. Bagloo for changing my life for the better

Dr. Bagloo is one, if not the best bariatric surgeon and doctor I've ever came across. She's companionate and treats her patients with care and is a professional all the way. She's been my life saver for many years , a gem and wouldn't trade her for any bariatric doctor. The office staff and nutritionist are wonderful, caring and make you feel welcome, every time. I would NOT go anywhere else but here. Just wonderful and grateful for all they do and above and beyond!!
