Dr. Melissa Marie Gomez, MD

I have had the privilege of working with Dr Gomez for three years. She is incredibly smart, caring and dedicated. She goes the extra mile for her patient and has changed many lives. She is highly intelligent and well trained in her field, having recently obtained an Obesity Medicine Board Certification in addition to her Internal Medicine Certification.

Dr. Gomez is a leader among providers in Las Cruces. She provides excellent, one-on-one education to each of her patients, spending more time changing lives than I have ever seen in my practice as a nurse. She is invested in each patient, providing insightful, specific recommendations according to the latest wellness medicine with true follow-up to help each meet his or her goals. Would recommend to anyone interested in healthy living.

Dr. Gomez is very knowledgeable about obesity and current treatment, she is caring and takes her time with you. She definitely takes a "tough love" approach but only wants to see you succeed! I highly recommend her!

I have never publicly reviewed or rated anything or ANYONE but, after reading what I consider inappropriate and unfair comments associated with Dr. Melissa Gomez, I felt compelled to share my own experience. My orthopedic surgeon required surgical or dietary weight loss prior to an essential knee replacement and I was referred to Dr. Gomez after choosing NOT to have surgery. My first appointment was somewhat delayed by another new patient immediately before me, but Dr. Gomez willingly spent the time that I felt I needed to be "comfortable" with her life style and nutritional recommendations. (I have to admit that what she suggested was totally opposite to everything I had ever learned but I decided that there was no down-side to trying.) Seven months (and more than 40 pounds) later Dr. Gomez is both my coach and my cheerleader and continues to help me reclaim the best me that I can be. I highly recommend Dr. Gomez to anyone willing to do the work required for dietary weight loss.

I was referred to Dr. Gomez from my family doctor because of high blood presure, obese, my A1C was high. within the first 90 days she was able to get my A1C in check and over the next year i was able to loose i bunch of wieght and keep it off. my blood pressure is now in check as well. Dr. Gomez has been a window to a better life for me. With her knowledge and support and your willingness to stick to a proper diet and exersise routine you can get to better life as well. Her staff is very friendly and professional and I have never had to wait for a long time to see the doctor. I would recommend Dr. Gomez to anyone that needs help achieving a BETTER HEALTHY life.

Dr. Gomez is very passionate about nutrition. She spends a lot of time with me every visit. She recommended books for me to learn about the weight loss process. She helps me to stay on track with her dedication. Not only has my weight dropped but I feel so much better. If you really want to improve your health go see Dr. Gomez.

She is so bad she doesn’t care about her patients is very cold hearted and thinks she is superior then others is just there to get paid and anything else she doesn’t care would never recommend her
