Dr. Melissa Williamson Holland, MD

Two poor experiences with her. Both leaving me hospitalized without babies. I am sad about the loss, but that’s not why I am posting this. Her bedside manner is great, basic skills good, but her medical knowledge of advanced cases and skills are poor. Be cautious if you are a high risk patient.

Best OB-GYN EVER!

i was referred to Melissa Holland by one of my Friends when i got pregnant. i was instantly comfortable with her. she answered every question i had and spent as much time with me as i wanted. she was just fantastic in EVERY way. its really hard to find a doctor that you trust and makes you feel comfortable but i can honestly say that i would refer her to anyone that is looking for the perfect OB/GYN. sad to say i moved away and have to use another doctor for my second pregnancy, the driving is just too frequent for this kind of visit and the gas would cost a fortune... but as soon as i have this baby, im going right back to her!!!

Dr. Melissa Holland is the best! She is very concerned and caring towards her patients. Dr. Holland has a way of making each individual patient feel they are her top priority/greatest concern. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!

I have had two very complex and complicated pregnancies and two very long hospital stays. Dr. Holland has been a trooper through it all! She caught a problem early in my preganancy that my previous OB (before I moved to Hburg) hadn't caught. That saved my first child! She is an amazing woman and has found her calling in life. She was meant to deliver babies!

Dr. Holland was highly recommended by a friend. Although I waited a while for my first visit because she had been overbooked by office staff, she was professional but apologized. When she spoke to me or when I asked questions, she made good eye contact and answered to my satisfaction. A problem was found and she thoroughly discussed all my options with me. When we had settled on a surgery, she verbally walked me through it and all that it entailed. She said, "I want what you know about this to come from me. I don't want you to go home and Google this and say, 'She didn't tell me that.'" When I had my surgery (which was more complicated and longer that anticipated), she kept my husband informed throughout. She developed a rapport by treating me with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. I'm glad I finally found her.

Would never go to anyone else. Concerned and compassinate.

Dr Melissa Holland was on-call and was the doctor that was with me during my daughter's breach birth. I feel that Dr Holland treated me horribly. I was shaking from the pain of the 9 hours of labor, and Dr Holland raised her voice to me and was very nasty and told me to "Stop shaking or you won't get an epideural!" Also, I had told her that my doctor said that I was breach before and to please do an ultrasound to verify this. However, she refused, and she said "I'm the doctor here!" Thus, I went through 9 hours of labor unnecessarily. In my opinion, Dr Melissa Holland is very lucky that I didn't sue her for making me suffer for 9 hours needlessly, and for forcing me to have an emergency c-section due to her not not checking to see that I was in fact breach. In my view, she caused me undue pain and suffering, and she put my life and my baby's life needlessly in danger. She is lucky that I just wrote letters to the hospital and to the state medical board. No, I would not recommend her… not after my experience with her!

This woman found her calling in life. She is what a doctor should be. She is extremely nice and caring. She listens (I mean it!). She was recommended to me by numerous people, and i would recommend her to anyone looking for an ob/gyn

Dr. Holland is a wonderful doctor! She explains things very thoroughly, which puts you at ease. I have just moved out of the area and I will definitely miss her!
