Dr. Melissa Marie Kempf, MD

She was my primary like 12 years ago, and I was curious if she still treated patients. Yikes. My years of experience with her left me cautious of doctors and to be more involved in my own treatment...which I guess is sort of positive. She pushed unnecessary pills as a first option of treatment, and she coaxed me into trial medicine before trying anything else. She even convinced me once to let her cut open my shoulder in a regular patient room in order to cut out a fatty tumor. She pulled it out and told me that it didn’t LOOK cancerous, so she just threw it away instead of sending it to a lab. I was left with a scar that reminds me not to just let doctors do whatever they want. She is the reason that I’m now fully aware that not all doctors are smart... or caring. I’m at fault for LETTING her do the crap she did to me, so if you read this, know that doctors are human, too.

The Nurses are very nice but, I don't like think the doctor care too much for the black race at all she always talk over you don't really try to understand you just throw Doctor termology around to keep you from knowing things that you should know. Makes fun of you and during my visits I heard a few things that where said about me that I didn't like not professional at all. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone and I she is reading this my uncle is white but, I know you wouldn't treat him the way you have me. Treat everyone the same and if you are prejudice you can at least hide it as long as you have on the doctor coat. Smh

Did not listen nor assess my health concern for worsening condition, failed to fulfill her standard of care, concluded a neurosurgeon would do a "spinal fusion" which is out of her scope of practice as a family practice doc, apparently dx me with an "anxiety" problem because I am cautious of what meds I take during my working hours, all while speaking to me in a very rude & condescending tone. Beyond disgusted with her care and lack of professionalism.

I went to Dr. Kempf after a bad experience with my previous Dr's staff. She said she didn't care and can only hear about things she can fix. She was abrasive and condescending without even a hint of interest in me or my medical condition. Treated me like she was heading cattle. She is mean.

I love Dr. Kempf and her office staff no matter how busy they are the front office and medical assistants will always help your needs. In fact, I like them so much my husband is now a patient and he liked how Dr. Kempf asked him questions and listen to his concerns. I will always have good things to say about them.

(IMHO) This is the one in suite 100. Worst Dr. I've ever been to. 1st visit I had a bad ear wax build up and was getting bad ringing in ear and pain. Did she clean it out like ALL Doctors do? No, she didn't have anything in the office for that and said try the stuff from the store. Seriously? I wasn't sleeping well and stressed and she brought up Prozac right off the bat. Geez! I called once for a referral and she said just go to an ER, but I needed a referral. I had a large lump that would stick out of my chest during certain movements. I showed her and she said it's a hernia (likely is) and if it doesn't hurt, don't worry about it. No exam or xrays or anything at all. That might all be the way of it, but just no follow through or concern for anything. If you need or want pills, this is your Doctor. If you want someone who actually acts like a Doctor, shows concern and follows up, I would look elsewhere. I am. Next appointment is scheduled for 6 months, yeah right.

I went in with a sore throat and asked the doctor to look at it. She took a look, saw a couple of spots, and said I might have strep throat. Then she asked if I wanted to be tested for strep. Ummm, you're the doctor, so why are you asking me? I told her I wanted the test sure enough, I had strep. Why should I have to tell the doctor what tests to run on me? I'm totally looking for a more competent doctor. Her patient care and bedside manner are lacking. She has no patience and doesn't listen.

Dr. Kempf is patient, asks a lot of questions and really listens to you. What surprised me the most was that I had seen her twice 4-5 years ago and she still remembered me after all this time. That's just impressive to me. I understand Dr.'s keep notes on our records that they quickly review but you can tell when someone is just reading the chart or actually has a recollection of you. That' important to me.

Doctor is great, office staff is rude and unprofessional .

She is thorough and know about interaction of drugs on the body and with each other. She is very personable and puts patients at ease.
