This doctor is a risk to all children that are under her care.. discharged my son with 103 fever and pneumonia. If I could give negative stars, I would. Absolutely horrible. I will be filing a complaint with the New York dept of health.. not to be a Karen, but because literal lives are in danger.

Absolutely one of the worst, or worst, doctors (pediatrician) ever. She has zero bedside manner, arrogant, annoyed you’re asking a question, dismissive to any concerns you have about your child - just think about the worst doctor and experience and this is Melissa McGuire. She should not be a doctor, she is an absolute cancer to the profession and other doctors should be concerned as well because it casts a terrible light on the profession and overall care that hospital and practice gives to patients, especially children. Plainly put, she’s a disgrace.

Being a Pediatrician especially in the ER takes not only knowledge but also good personality and passion. This doctor has none. Ready to discharge and easy irritable to legislate concern. Just basically walked to my child at bedside saying “yeah she has viral infection so she’s is sick and yeah possibly COVID” but we are not doing anything. I know, I’m currently a healthcare professional at the same facility and I received no comfort or relief by the care of service I have received today. This is unacceptable. Running some test and to tell you to leave with a child who still suffering from same symptoms that she walked in with is not acceptable. This doctor to top it off basically patronized the whole scenario. If I wasn’t in the healthcare field I probably wouldn’t even receive half of her min as I did after saying that I work here. Terrible care for poor children. Does not deserve this title. If my daughter gets worse, I will not let her go.

Poor bedside manner. Extremely arrogant. Would not listen to patient or family concerns. Misinformed about hospital policies.

As a healthcare professional I found this doctor to have poor clinical knowledge, inability to listen to patient and family; couldn’t get symptoms under control in a timely manner with appropriate medications contributing to significant amount of discomfort, worsening symptoms and distress to the child and family for much longer than was necessary.
