Dr. Melissa Ann Pynnonen, MD

Dr. Pynnonen is a very caring professional. She has made a significant improvement to my quality of life. She treated my nasal polyp condition for a couple years. I eventually had to have surgery after all other treatment options had been exhausted. Her surgery skills and follow up treatment were what I needed. She was available all weekend, after surgery, if I needed anything, and has helped me maintain my condition since. Her concise diagnosis is appreciated. She is a credit to my improved health.

Seen Dr.P quite a few times and each time has been unpleasant. This past time she was extremely sarcastic and on top of that she completely lacks compassion. I was so taken back by the sarcasm I didn’t even know what to say, seemed totally unprofessional. She comes off as very know it all and acts as if the patients concerns are irrelevant. I personally am someone who has had a reoccurring tumor in my jaw with subsequent hardware installation that interferes with my sinuses. I would NOT recommend her.

I went to see Dr. Pynnonen for recurring nosebleeds, sinus issues and tonsil stones. I was seen promptly at my appointment time. Dr. Pynnonen was extremely kind, thorough and talked through all of my issues and concerns with me. I will be happy to go back to see her again if I ever need another visit with an ENT. The office staff obviously thinks highly of her too and to me that says a lot.

I am praying for her. She was very short patient with me. I do not even know if she is going to follow through with her recommendation of a fellow professional. When I asked "where should I go from here." She blatantly said, "Parking lot". Her last words to me. I am hoping she was just having a bad day and that I was not her problem.

I have stopped going to U-M facilities because of they charge visits as an outpatient procedure. I saw this doctor for 15 minutes with no answers about my issue. It was not worth the amount of money I paid. I also have excellent insurance through work. They just don't pay on the facility charge. I would encourage you to find a non UM practice. You will save money and get the same care.

My husband had an appointment with Dr. Pynonnenn, she's great. The staff was warm, clear about his exam. The doctor was clear and accurate about his diagnosis and the treatment.

I found her uncaring, she treated me with disrespect , she shouldn’t be a doctor, I would never go back, I wouldn’t to recommend her.

She was 1.5 hours (90 minutes) late for the appointment. Then she said she did not know what was wrong with me. I pressed her on a diagnosis and she wrote up "sinus Infection". Her diagnosis was wrong and I was able to get relief later with another doctor. Waste of my work time, and copays. I would not recommend her.

Dr. Pynnonen is a wonderful surgeon! My condition has proven difficult in the past, but Dr. Pynnonen put me at ease with her caring demeanor and comforting words. Dr. Pynnonen was personable and took the time to get to know me and my daughter. I would recommend this surgeon to anyone suffering from sinus conditions. Extremely talented and knowledgeable!

She was demeaning and told me to shhhhh when I tried talking with here . I would NEVER go back . She has a major ego problem shouldn't be a doctor .
